It was a nice weekend at NYC. We walked through Times Square. Element Hotel was near everything & i thought was ver convenient, although I thought was a downside was the elevator was slow and would need to devote extra time for this. Overall the place is clean & modern.

This hotel is expensive for what is actually offered. The price should not be in the $200 range. It is more $100-150.

The room is very small. A king bed with a loveseat that sits at the foot of the bed. There is a desk and chair and there is full mini kitchen and equipment which covers about 4 ft of space along the wall of the love seat as you enter the door.

The breakfast in the morning was great lots to choose from and fresh.

This is a few blocks from Times Square and the bus terminal.

The elevator was very scary. It stopped and dropped a few floors a couple of times with me in it. I was on the 40th floor.

Room Tip: There was no swimming pool at this particular hotel. And I don't think they had room service ei...

This hotel is fabulous!! I've stayed in many of Midtown Manhattan hotels but you can't beat the location which is just 2 blocks away from Port Authority, 3 blocks from Times square, madam T, Ripley's Believe it or not and other attractions. Hotel itself.... oh myyy, everything from entrance to the top deck is just awesome. Their staff are super friendly and helpful, always!!! Design itself is not bothering you in any way, rooms are perfectly sized and has everything to make you feel at home. Showeeeer ohh shower!!! It worth to stay there just to take a shower :)) Love their shower head. Their kitchenettes i would say fully equipped kitchens are just awesome if you are traveling with kids and stay for few days As restaurants in Times square area are super expensive and not always delicious. Btw, if we talk about delicious, just across the street on the corner there is a small even tiny place on 8 th ave they sell the most delicious chiken tenders and gyro . Would absolutely recommend them !! Special thanks to their precious Ivory in Front Desk , she was extremely helpful at our last visit too. We will be back!! Btw there are some photos of our room and view from our room on 39th floor

Stayed here not long after it opened, and loved it, so jumped at the opportunity to stay here again. And it's still wonderful. In a smaller room this time, on a lower floor, but everything worked, and it's quite amazing what they can include in these rooms without it seeming cluttered. Top marks also for environmental awareness, and the substantial free breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff as well. One disadvantage would be the overcrowded elevators at certain times of the day - so be prepared for this. Still, highly recommended!

Room Tip: Choose a lower floor - you can take the stairs when the elevators are full.

We stayed in NY for 5 days - location is great coming from Newark Airport, the bus drops you at Grand Central which is 2 street blocks away from the Hotel. The rooms are very clean, very comfortable (westin standards) with fully equipped kitchens… Honestly, I cannot fault the place a part from the breakfast in the morning where it gets very busy and if you don't go very early you might need to compete with other to get some eggs and food!! (at the end, we decided to cook breakfast in our rooms after the 1st day which worked well as well) .

I stayed on the 39th floor with a perfect view of New York skyline. Waking up to that view was simple breathtaking. The size of the room was much bigger than I expected for New York standards. I like the full kitchen facilities. Feels like home away from home. Location, it's not too far from Times Square. I like the fact that WiFi is available all throughout the hotel including the rooms. I stayed at a few other hotels in New York and WiFi facility in the rooms were chargeable. The only thing that needs some further improvement is the breakfast. I think selection of food needs to be improved, or perhaps I'm used to the generous food selection at Asian countries so I think the breakfast is too limited in choice and there aren't enough seats to accommodate the no of guests in the hotel. Front desk officers (on two separate days) were a bit snooty but overall service level was good. I would definitely come back here the next time I visit New York again or I might just check out the other Starwood hotels.
