It's less than a block from the subway, brand-new and sub-two-hundred in the dead of winter. Small rooms, but workable for a couple. $30/day valet, or park it yourself for $25 two blocks away. Really fabulous desk staff. Neighborhood is off the beaten track, but not too far off. It's near the corner of Varick & Houston, which is not far from the action in at least three different neighborhoods. It's a bit quiet at night, so you need to be aware as you head in or out from your adventures. However that quiet also translates into fewer sirens, garbage trucks and general street noise.

Stayed at this hotel for one night with my three children. This is a new hotel. It has a modern and clean decor. I stayed in a room with two double beds. Rooms are very small especially the king bed rooms. They have an area for breakfast which was nice. It is also next to Dunkin Doughnuts and a deli. We got bagels at the deli which were good. The subway is right across the street. We were doing things in SoHo which made this hotel convenient. Not the easiest place to get a taxi however. Employees were all very nice that I encountered.

Recently stayed here on a business trip & found it to embody a good value. This is a new property and the rooms are well appointed.

The location is good and near to many restaurants. Also I felt safe walking in this area (as much as possible in NYC!).

Overall a great stay.

We booked this hotel for New Years Eve stay with friends as we had to be "close" to Union Square and preferred to be away from TS madness. The hotel was new, clean, modern, by NYC standards at a $250.00 rate ;) - spacious (yes the room door opened onto our bed, but so has every other hotel I've stayed in NYC from the trendy Schrager to the Waldorf Towers to the Carlton Arms, yes really). But we heard no other noise through the walls from other guests, not even on NYE, which is usually a problem I've experienced in NYC hotels.
What really pushes the review from good to excellent was the staff. As you can imagine it was quite a busy weekend, and we were worried that this coupled with it being new hotel some of the staff might have been a little green and disorganized. But everyone from the front desk, to the cleaning staff to the assistant manager was courteous, pleasant and anticipated our needs. I really couldn't be happier. I would definitely stay again without hesitation the location for Soho/West Village shopping and restaurants ad yes even Union Square - can't be beat.

Enjoyed a two night stay there through Priceline. The hotel is brand new and extremely clean. If you are looking to visit Soho or Greenwich Village, the location is perfect. Otherwise, a 1 train stop is a few steps away. The staff was the most friendly I have ever experienced in NYC, and I travel there at least once a month. My only complaint was the lack of a view from my room, but as this in NY, I'm used to looking down an air shaft. Highly recommended.

We stayed there for the thanksgiving weekend 2 couples.
The hotel is brand new and it still smelled new super clean obviously and nice decor.
Location is perfect since you are right in the middle of Soho and Greenwich village.
Great restaurants of Soho are a few blocks away, the metro station is in front of the hotel and it is the line1-2-3 that brings you to times square in 10 minutes no transfers needed.
It is a great place to sleep the only little downside was that it was noisy even by new york standard. I have rented roughly 200 hotel nights in NYC over the years and maybe it's because we were in the lower part of the hotel ( 7th floor) but street noise was waking us up during the night and the we could fell the metro pass underground.
The price was great well below NYC standards but it will probably not stay that way as people discover that new option

My husband and I stayed here in November 2010 because I had Marriott rewards points to use. The hotel was 4 days old when we stayed and was still pristine. The hotel staff was very friendly. We checked in early and requested a king size bed on a high floor. When we got to our room, despite having an awesome view of the water and Statute of Liberty, it had two double beds. We called the front desk and someone came up with new keys to a different room. From the second room we could see uptown including the Empire state building. The only downside to this room is that you could hear the street noise somewhat at night. This isn't that big of a deal but on Saturday night someone was yelling and there was a lot of honking going on at one point. However, you are in the middle of a city so this is to be expected - no big deal. The beds are super comfy and the room has a mini fridge and coffee maker. Compared to some other NYC hotels I have stayed in, the room was fairly good size. We also checked out the fitness room - very nice with several high tech and brand new pieces of equipment. This hotel is within walking distance to several subway lines and Soho/Greenwich Village. It is not too bad of a walk to Tribeca either. All in all a great property and a great location in Manhattan.
