if you are looking for a great, small hotel, right in the middle of things try this Soho Marriott Courtyard. The staff was very accommodating and helpful on how to get around, where to eat, etc. Close to 911 Museum, Statue of Liberty, China Town. Downstairs in the lobby is a Starbucks café with some breakfast items to get you started. if you want a bit more freshly made breakfast, right down the block is the "Essn. Be sure to check it out too.

Room Tip: Rooms are small but that is common for NYC but all very clean and the staff likes to help.

We stayed here for the last week of august. It actually was better than the pictures. It was an awesome location. Thr staff was super friendly and helfpul and recommended us to joes pizza which is a staple in new york. Best pizza ever. The rooms are really small which is expected as its new york. Lots of awesome bars, restos nearby that are walking distance. Car rental places nearby.

My son and I stayed at the Soho Courtyard Marriott last weekend for a tour of New York University. The Courtyard's location is very convenient. It is on the edge of Greewich Vilage. We took a cab from Penn Station to the hotel, but once we realized how close it is, we walked to the train station for the trip home. It is also a five minute walk to New York University and a fifteen minute walk to TriBeCa and St John's University.

There are many wonderful restaurants and shopping nearby. My son, who had never stayed in lower Manhattan before, announced that the Soho Courtyard is our new home base for New York City. The room was clean and had all the necessary furnishings and accessories. There was a small refrigerator and coffee machine in the room. Wifi was free in the room. The bottled water was too pricey to use.

The clerks in the lobby were very courteous, attentive and welcoming. We were allowed to check in four hours early, which was an enormous relief for us. There was no complimentary coffee in the lobby, but a Dunkin Donuts is next door. The bistro in the hotel did not look very appetizing (it looked more like a food court pastry counter), so we did not try it. The hotel does take security precautions. The entrance locks at 11 pm and requires a key card for access. The elevator also requires a key card for access to guest floors. The hotel features an exercise room, but I cannot comment on it since I chose to go for a work run/walk outdoors. I felt much safer on my run/walk in Soho/TriBeCa than I would have felt in mid town Manhattan, which is a HUGE plus for this hotel. For that reason alone, I probably will choose this hotel as our new home base for our New York City jaunts.

My husband and I stayed here the weekend of 8/22-8/24. We came to go to two Yankees game and to spend a fun weekend in NYC. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with recommending places to eat and to help us navigate the subway. Mario was great! I wish I caught the names of the other staff before we left! We would definitely stay here again as we love staying in Soho when we come to the city!

Nice location - Near NYU which is where I was visiting. Close to subway stop. Rooms are small - but this is NYC and, by that standard, our room was very nice, quiet, and clean. Limited breakfast, but the Starbucks coffee was much appreciated (and at the same price I pay at my local midwest Starbucks store). Staff was extremely friendly. I will stay here again.

Planning to stay here for several weeks on business. Great location and -- like the typical Marriott Courtyard -- the service and rooms are more than adequate. Breakfast here is a Starbucks with a half dozen tables, which is less than a typical Courtyard, but not a problem given the location and ample choices available.

Location for visiting Soho, West Village, Chelsea, China Town, Little Italy, and Greenwich Village, is perfect. The staff are efficient and professional. City Bikes is a block and a half away. Shops and restaurants within a block. This isn't the hotel to choose if you just want to be in times Square, but if you have already filled your boots with lights and other tourists and want the New York Village experience, this is a magnificent location! The 05 rooms have great views of Empire State Building, Chrysler Building and Uptown
