“FANTASTIC service.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

We stayed in Hotel Cassa in August 2012 and had nothing but a fantastic experience. The staff were the most welcoming we have come across from the door man, to the reception staff, to the cleaners. We were always welcomed with a smile, and questions of whether there was anything they could help us with etc. It was just a lovely warm hotel. The hotel itself was spotless. So clean! Our room had everything we needed with plenty of space and the incredible bed was definitely a highlight! The location was perfect (a block away from Timesquare) and we were able to get cabs directly from the front door. I highly recommend Hotel Cassa. Thank you for a great stay!!!

There is nothing more you could ask for in a Hotel in New York City! My Husband and I stayed in this Hotel 24th Sept 12 - 29th Sept 12. We were on our honeymoon in which the hotel upgraded our room for free and gave us a free bottle of wine of our choice upon arrival. The rooms were spacious with plently of room for your shopping, in which we did lots of. Rooms were cleaned daily to a good standard. Staff were very helpful in anything you need. Very short distance from Times Square and 5th Avenue. Within walking distance of the Empire State Buliding & Macey in which my Husband and I walk on numerous occassions. Would go back to this hotel again very happy with the service and room. The bed were amazing just what you need after a long day of shopping.

First, the Pros: Great location! Close to Times Square, yet not right on top of all the throngs of people. In addition:most (though not all) of the front desk people were very friendly and helpful. I would particularly like to mention Alicia, who went above and beyond to help me get to my departing transportation on time when my ticket wouldn't print at the business center. I also found the hotel, including my room, to be very clean, and the housekeeping services were very good as well. And, the design of the room was very sleek and appealing.

Now, the Cons: as other people have mentioned, the size of the room. My room was SMALL. Yes, it's New York City, etc. etc., but I have stayed in bigger rooms in nyc. Perhaps I was also influenced by the not so lovely view from my window, which included looking over a roof with building materials (that said, the hotel can't do anything about what transpires around it). I also found the room lacking in some basic things: a way to make coffee or tea, some basic information about the hotel services, or even a 'do not disturb' sign I could hang on my door would've been nice (and would have prevented numerous knocks on the door from the housekeeping services).

Hello drz30. Thank you for the kind remarks and suggestions! Alicia is a wonderful member of the team and we appreciate all her work as well as the talented housekeeping staff. If you plan on coming back to NYC and would like to stay with us, please give us a call and if we have availability, we are always happy to see if we can offer you a larger room.

Our rooms usually have Do Not Disturb signs. I’m sorry the one in your room was missing. If you stay with us in the future, and I hope you do, please let the Front Desk know if anything is lacking and they will be happy to accommodate you.

And lastly, we are definitely seriously considering adding coffee pots to the rooms. Please check us out after our winter renovations and we will hopefully have some wonderful improvements to show you. Best Wishes - Kevin

This was my wife and I first trip to New York and we stayed at Cassandra hotel September 26- 30 , 2012. This had to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in and the service was great. It is one block away from Times Square and one block away from 5th ave. perfect location from everything. We had to have the best concierge in New York named Eric. He was absolutely wonderful and planned everyday for us and made New York a wonderful workable experience. Don't look any where else stay at this hotel. Billy and Sonya

Room Tip: The room was great, it's not huge but your in New York if you want big rent a condo.

I usually do not write reviews, quite honestly I expect good service so when I get it its no big deal. I booked on Hotwire, awesome rate. I took my 16 year old daughter to NYC for her bday. I had a question so the night before we were to arrive, I called Cassa. During my conversation I mentioned my daughters 16th bday. I had called to request a room with two doubles,I was unaware that Hotwire books the cheapest room and that two doubles would be much more costly. On the phone they understood my situation and saud they would upgrade for free to a King room. Both of us would be sleeping in the same bed but its a King, not as bad right? I also requested an early check in, around noon. On our arrival, Sept 28th 2012, around noon, I was greeted and recognized by the same young lady I had spoken to, she promptly wished my daughter a happy birthday, I was quite surprised and pleased, she then informed me that she had me upgraded to a double twin, wow, thats def something Hotwire wouldnt have done even though they said on the phone they would. We went up to our room, 1608 and it was simply beautiful, clean and large for a NYC room, after a few minutes I noticed a hand written bday card to my daughter and a platter of assorted nuts and treats also two bottles of water. The card had a personal hand written message to her wishing her a happy 16th amoung other things. During our three night stay the staff was above exceptional. I felt at home and they were more than willing to answer and help in any way possible. The room was cleaned spotless everyday. The shower is to die for and Im not sure how they manage to get the water pressure they do but it was like standing in a waterfall. The location is great as well, Starbucks accross the street,,,3 blocks from Times Square,,15 minute walk from Central Park, one block from the subway to take you anywhere. We were even able to watch Dexter Sunday night in our room because Showtime was included on our large flatscreen,,,This place is a hidden gem. GMF

Newer hotel with contemporary design, very clean and helpful staff. Good room size for midtown location and block away from Time Square. Hotel should consider adding a coffee machine to ever room so that morning coffee is not a bit of a hassle. Overall, could not ask for better stay.

Helpful staff, clean decent size room for NYC, great location w/amazing selection of activities and food nearby. Five perfect days in the center of the action. No fancy lobby or in house quality restaurant, but plenty of others nearby.

Room Tip: Sound proofing is outstanding which is very important to me in a noisy city.
