“Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

Went to this restaurant suggested by the hotel not realizing it was a little fancier and more expensive than what we were planning on spending. I had red snapper and a glass of red wine suggested by waitress. Wine was ok and the red snapper was delicious. My spouse got pasta fagioli soup and a mixed drink. Soup was very good also with a lit twist it had oysters in it.

“San Domenico re-imagined”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

As a long time fan of San Domenico's, the late lamented previous restaurant of the May family, I was saddened to see it close. However, they've outdone themselves with SD26. Classy, comfortable, with the same warm family service as before and an wonderful imaginative menu (the half dinners are brilliant). The menu is shorter than before but just as good and, if you like classic Italian food, this is the place. The bar is equally good and a great place to wait for a table or have a drink after dinner or just to hang out. They also have a very nice wine list.
Say hello to Melissa for us when you go.

“Chef's Table”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

We dined here in early March at the Chef's Table. There was a slight mishap with our reservations but in the end everything was taken care of painlessly/quickly-by the manager in charge (who was very nice) and even though we weren't in the kitchen I liked our table better! The service was excellent (Marissa and the Chef stopped by and were very friendly) and everything out of the 7 courses we had tasted phenomenal- from veal sweetbreads, to the Uovo- which was probably the best out of the 7 courses we had, beef cheeks, and every dessert on the menu ( I am a huge chocolate fan but the pannacotta was my favorite). We will definitely return on our next trip to NYC.

“Wow! Fabulous Italian”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013 via mobile

This is the real thing for Italians and sophisticated foodies. A too huge, how do they pay for it, restaurant designed by Massimo Vignelli. Through a Hollywood bar off beautiful Madison Square, a cinematic big room in red and white faces am equally huge open kitchen. Professional everything, a relatively short menu of fabulous Italian hams, sausages and cheeses, perfect pastas, really fresh fish and wonderful roasted goat. Cannot be more highly recommended. Glamorous crowd of Italians, closing dinners, locals big night out. Feels like a celebration.
