Sheraton Tribeca New York Hotel

If your primary interest is in SoHo or Downtown this is a convenient option. But Canal Street is not the most beautiful place in NY. The traffic is really bad and you are surrounded by stores selling cheap products. But cross the street and you are in SoHo with nice stores, restaurant and bars.
The hotel is comfortable, relatively small and looks new or renovated. The rooms are small. At you can hear at doors bumping as I read in other reviews.
The service was also Ok, but I had problems in the check in.
All in all it looks overpriced for what it offer and its location (at least considering the rate I got it).

Hi this is LONG ISLAND CHICK here with my new review on the Sheraton Tribeca.
If this is going to be your first trip to New York City then welcome. If you have been here before, then you will have some ideas on what to do and where to stay. The most important thing to ask yourself would be, what do I want to do?, where do I want to eat?, etc. I live on Long Island and come into NYC all the time. The Sheraton Tribeca is in an ideal location. if you are driving in, the hotel staff will park your car overnight for you. All you have to do is pull up in front of hotel. Yes they charge a fee, but what parking garage in New York doesn't? You will be so close to the subway (across the street) you can go anywhere. To top it off Little Italy and China Town are within a hop, skip and jump away. I love to eat at DaNico and DeGennaro and go shopping at Step Up Boutique on Mulberry Street. The hotel staff is great and the place is immaculate. They have a nice sit down area for free WiFi, bar, cafe and a small deli like stop for coffee and take out breakfast etc. And if your an AMERICAN EXPRESS STARWOOD member then check it out for cash & points. There is no better time to come to NYC then during the holiday season. Everything is in full swing with lights and decorations. Plan ahead and you will have a great time. There is also the Discount Ticket Booth at Times Square. Don't let the long lines fool you as they move quickly. 50% to 60% off some broadway show is not a bad deal. Yes. you have to see a show. How could you come to NYC and not see a BROADWAY OR OFF BROADWAY show? This is NYC after all. Have fun and most of all be safe and be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Room Tip: Try to stay on the floors higher up.

I arrived only a few days after the power was restored to Lower Manhattan. Other than a few locals still seeking refuge in the hotel along with their pets, there was nothing to suggest there had been any disruption. The room on the 18th floor was cosy rather than spacious, but the views were great and everything works.

The location is excellent - even an A train subway station around the corner that connects to the JFK Airtrain. I would stay again.

Room Tip: rooms on the front of the hotel have great views but some street noise

I stayed here 2 nights this week with my wife, and it was very convenient for the proximity to her work events. It's a standard Sheraton hotel: professional staff, clean and well-run, and the rooms are small but have what one needs.

We didn't dine in the restaurant/cafe so can't review that aspect, but there are many local options close by.

Hotel was clean and welcoming. Room (delux king 18th floor) was almost perfect, needed something for clothing storage for our extended stay of 4 days. Room was acomfortable, clean, and relaxing when we were there. The Sheraton Tribeca Hotel staff were excellent, professional, helpful, and honest. The Concierge staff were the BEST. Information they provided about travel around the city was accurate, helpful, and cost effective. Thank you to Corey and the "Michael's" for ALL of your help and information about NYC. Corey provided more accurate information about the UpTown 6 subway to Bronx than the NYC Subway Termial operator. Upper floor room is the way to go (either side of building) just to get a view of the city at night.

Room Tip: Upper floor room with at least a delux king bed.

Well I was here during sandy hurricane, beautiful soho view from my room, nice and cozy. But everyday I need to leave a note to room attendant what needs to be replenish. Have coffee maker but they won't provide any stirrer, have towels but they won't replenish toiletries . I stayed there 1 week kind of frustrating, You need to pay wifi $10 for 24 hours. That was not my expectation of Sheraton groups.

Room Tip: All rooms comes with Starbucks coffee maker, so just choose any.

I stayed at the Sheraton Tribeca for five nights in a suite. I was upgraded from a studio suite to a suite, although I don't know how much I gained...the suite was great, though.

The hotel kind of lacks the character that many older or boutique hotels in New York have, but for a longer stay, I'd rather be comfortable than feel cool. I was very comfortable and for a reasonable price (despite paying for a studio suite).

I didn't try breakfast in the hotel or use room service. There is a 24 hour deli next door which was extremely convenient. Bottled water was replenished each day.

I was not looking for the typical Midtown tourist experience and the Sheraton Tribeca was perfect for seeing a different side of New York (having lived in Hell's Kitchen years ago, I wanted to stay downtown for a change of pace). If you are interested in seeing more of the small businesses and boutiques that are unique to New York, I definitely recommend the Tribeca/Soho area.

Room Tip: Aim for an upgraded room. The suites are fantastic.
