The atmosphere is cool with exposed brick and mood lighting but not overdone. Staff was friendly and happy we were there. Unlike other Food Network Chef restaurants Marc was there and working in the kitchen and took the time to talk with us, showed me the kitchen and took pics with us. Hand crafted cocktails were good - margarita with siracha smoky tequila and fresh lime. THey handmade scratch mocktails for the ids. We started with indian spiced backed oysters which were excellent. The steaks were seared perfectly, crusty on the outside and medium rare in the middle. They had a wild suckling pig special with shoulder and loin that was excellent and gamy in a good way paired with earthy squash and black-eyed peas. The fresh trout was cooked perfectly and was paired with hen of the woods and other accoutrements that looked like they had been foraged from the area around the stream where the fish was caught. Desserts were excellent and they got us out in time for our show that evening. Highly recommend.

While I though Bobby Flay's Bar Americain was better, Marc Forgione's restaurant is definitely up there. The decor is nice...has a bit of a rustic feel to it with some classiness. Service was great all night. We had the rabbit and the chili lobster appetizer, both of which were very tasty. For entrees we had the Monkfish and the swordfish dishes. The only bad part was the rice on the swordfish dish was overly salty (I'm definitely the type to like things salty too but this was definitely too much for most of the population). For dessert we ordered a homemade ice cream sampler and the pumpkin ginger cake? (I forget if it was a cake, or creme brulee type dessert). The pumpkin ginger cake was good. We didn't care too much for the homemade ice cream. They were flavors like lime, chocolate, thyme, and I forget the two other ones but not your ordinary flavors. The lime needs work lol...tasted like key lime with way too much condensed milk. But a great night nonetheless filled with good food, service, and setting.

Have been waiting for quite some time to taste Chef Forgione's cuisine. We were not disappointed. From the moment you walk in the restaurant you feel like your in someones home, casual, friendly. Our waiter and sommelier were very knowledgeable, informative and extremely attentive. The food was an explosion of tastes in your mouth. We had the chicken for two, which reminded us of a similar tasting in Florence where the chicken is as juicy as it is crispy at the same time. We had the good fortune of meeting Chef Forgione at the end of our meal. One of the nicest, down to earth chef we have ever met. Truly worthy of his Iron Chef appointment.

I have been a big fan of Marc Forgione and was ecstatic to have the opportunity to dine in his restaurant. Was dining solo; ordered "tasting menu" with "wine pairing". I can truly say this was the most fabulous & unforgetable meal I have ever eaten. Everthing from start to finish was incredible. I felt as if I was sitting at the judges table on "Iron Chef". Service was excellent. If you have the time and wish to splurge then please treat yourself.

We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. Some surprisingly good dishes with interesting wines. Some dishes a bit strange - the oyster with monterry jack cheese, bbq sauce and pancetta powder was maybe a bit far fetched, but well executed. Lively tribecca restaurant. Good wine list. Very good service. We liked it.
