Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was sizable with high ceilings that made it feel very open and airy. The room was extremely clean and well-appointed, and the toiletries smelled wonderful. Even though they said the hotel was full, I didn't hear a single soul the whole night. The location is also amazing, literally at the front door of the NYPL. I also had to change my reservation last-minute, and the service was pleasant, efficient, and no fuss.

Stayed here for 4 nights in August. The location is fabulous next to Bryant Park and the Library. The subway is also a short walk away.

The reception is small, efficient and friendly.

The rooms are strangely designed- the room size is large from a NY context but small relative to other cities. Despite this they decided to divide the room into two areas which created a feeling of being squashed in. Not really much place for bags etc. Also I really didn’t like the way the doors of the bathroom opened.

I was also disappointed with the evening wine and the free minibar. For the former the quality of wine was poor and the fact that it had to be unlocked every time. I expected the wine experience to be similar to that in a Hyatt club lounge. Also the free minibar only included a packet of crisps a day!! Exaggerated advertising in my view!!

The location was great on Fifth Avenue across the street from Bryant Park and the NYC's Main Library. Happy hour 6 to 8 p.m. very good except no snacks like chips & peanuts. Our 6th floor room was excellent. Wi-fi great. Inroom water & snacks a treat. There was only 1 bathrob so we called for another - it took a 1/2 hour to arrive. Only negative was the loud weekend construction noise from the hotel's 3rd floor renovation project on Saturday - September 8th and early morning Sunday - September 9th. We needed to sleep. The jack hammering early Sunday morning was terrible. Tip: ask for a room facing Fifth Avenue while the construction is in prgress...

A very trendy, boutique hotel centrally located. Open plan lobby, hotel staff work around open plan desk with laptops. Small seating area but could always find somewhere to sit. Amazing, quiet rooms with great bathrooms, worth the upgrade to the rooms with view of Public library as they are much bigger. They don’t provide coffee making facilities as standard but do offer coffee in the lobby and in the room if requested along with a long list of items such as hair curlers etc. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly with the exception of one of the staff for who (she) it appeared a bit of an inconvenience. There is a free wine event for a couple of hours every evening from 6pm but the wine is locked away and you have to wait around to be offered a glass or ask which just feels a bit uncomfortable especially as the hotel staff who serve the wine are also the ones who are checking in, concierge staff etc.
