can not complain anything, room is good, restaurant is good, location is really good but their bar downstairs was under renovation..... I also enjoy working at Andaz Lounge in the morning before I go to work early in the morning.

We stayed here for my partner's surprise birthday weekend away.

We arrived before the official check-in time, but the staff were welcoming, checked us in swiftly and offered us coffee and to keep our bags whilst we started exploring the city, which was far better than having to lug them around with us!

Whilst we paid a (modest) supplement for a room upgrate, we weren't disappointed - the room was a very good size (with a large and comfy bed, a separate sofa and a beautifully designed bathroom) with views over the Public Library. Also immaculately clean, with complimentary soft drinks from the mini-bar. There is also complimentary wine in the lobby lounge area every evening from 6-9pm before you head out for dinner, which is welcome after a day round the city.

We didn't eat in the restaurant or use the bar in the basement, but the in-house café was very good with coffee and pastries (and heart attack-inducing breakfast baps with cheese, egg and bacon!) that are chargeable to your room.

Would definitely come back - very high standard hotel and - happily! - very quiet as well, notwithstanding being right on 5th Avenue.

Room Tip: Aim for a higher floor to avoid any street noise - you're right on 5th Avenue! - but pay for an...

We stayed at this hotel this past week. all i can say is great service, great food, great accommodations. the happy hours allows to mingle and the wine is good. the best part of the stay is the service from the staff. they remember your name and go out of their way to make sure you satisfied in your stay. it is the only place to stay in NYC.

I have stayed in quite a few hotels in my time, some of them fantastic, but none of them as fine as the Andaz 5th Avenue. Now I understand what a true luxury hotel experience should be. Reception and customer service were gracious without being obsequious, the accommodations were flat-out amazing (I wish I could live here), and the ancillary services (gym, housekeeping, minibar, etc) were all first-rate.

Our first stay in NYC and we were at the superb Andaz 5th Ave. from the moment we walked through the door at half past midnight, nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. A very efficient check in, followed by complimentary drinks in our room, for a pre-advised birthday. The room was excellent, with a large bedroom, king sized bed and all the facilities you would expect of a five star hotel.
Although We did not eat at the hotel, the staff were very attentive to our eats wish list and provided an excellent recommendation for Benjamin's steak house - a 5 minute walk to the best steak we have ever had ! The Complimentary coffee in the morning was very welcome, given the sub zero temperature, and this was reinforced by the hot cider and wine (again complimentary) between 6 and 9 at night.
Location perfect for Times Square, Broadway, Empire State, Rockefeller, Grand Central, Central Park, Macys etc etc -all within a short walking distance.
Could wax lyrical for agrees over this place, but needless to say, we recommend and given the chance, would love to return and stay again !

Booked 5 nights in the Andaz 5th Avenue back in October 2013 via British Airways Holidays. Our stay was superb from start to finish. I will return to this Hotel and would highly recommend it. Location is key here, you could not be in a better location!

We stayed in room 29 on the 2nd floor which faced onto the side street although we could still see 5th Avenue from window. The Kingsize bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in although the pillows were a little too soft for my liking, simply personal preference. We had a problem with the Air Conditioning on our arrival but once reported this was quickly rectified (within minutes) by a member of the maintenance team.

I'm not sure if the rooms are soundproofed but we didn't hear any noise from outside or within the building, the room really felt like an Oasis of calm after a day out in the hustle and bustle of the city. The lighting options, large flatscreen TV and Radio/IPOD docking station all added to the comfort if you intend to spend any time indoors.

We of course took advantage of the Wine on offer in the Reception between 6 and 9pm but didn't really feel that the Reception had enough seating to sit and enjoy it, we perched ourselves on high stools for a glass before heading out to dinner each night.

The basement bar is worth a visit, especially on a Friday night when it seemed to be busy with the 'after-work' crowd. Great buzz although very dark!

We popped into The Shop for breakfast one morning which was really good, the Avocado Toast was particularly good!

Another good recommendation for breakfast was Pershing Square around the corner opposite Grand Central.

On a final note, the staff made all the difference here, they greet you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble for any of them Right through from Reception staff to Housekeeping.

Cant wait to go back and will certainly be trying the new Andaz in London in the near future!

Room Tip: Room 29 was very spacious indeed. (KING)

This time I was here with my young adult daughter.
We had a library view double room. The views are outstanding!
The hosts here are fantastic.
The rooms are large by any standards, and huge by NYC standards.
Very modern and fun.
Beds are super comfy with wonderful bedding.
Love the free non-alcoholic mini fridge goodies, the morning coffee and fruit, free internet, free wine in the lobby in the evenings.
Rooms are quiet. Great location.
Special mention to Peter and Amanda who are so helpful with tips on seeing the city, but all the hosts were wonderful and friendly. Missing Tessa.

Room Tip: I'm sure all the rooms are great, but if you can afford a library view, go for it!
