Description: Gingers Restaurant is the Doubletree Guest Suites Times Squares’ new restaurant located on the 5th Floor, that pays tribute to “The Roaring Twenties” when Broadway was in full swing with light-hearted musicals. These shows produced enduring standards from legends such as Cole Porter and George and Ira Gershwin, and launched the careers of actors, singers and dancers such as Ginger Rogers, who, at the age of 19, was chosen to star on Broadway in Girl Crazy. Open for breakfast, lunch and pre and post-theater dinner, Gingers is exotically decorated with Asian accents and offers an extensive menu with signature dishes and a la carte specialties.

Good food, good service. Quiet space on the 5th floor. Pasta dishes were very good. Our waiter was very friendly.

Benny from Gingers (anticipated and executed our every whim)
Hannah at the front desk of Gingers(elevated our dining experience to superb)
Even Eugene from the Omelet station(cared enough to remake 1 of my pancakes to be visually perfect)
Solomon from Gingers( executed our every whim)
An Egyptian chef that starts with a "S" (made me a birthday cake at Breakfast time) Who does that??

Breakfast buffet has everything plus made to order eggs, French toast, waffels and pancakes. You can order off of the menu also. Not a bad price. Fill up before you begin your day.

Food is average. Service is always subpar. Breakfast always has waits and lines. This is not because they are that busy, rather because everything moves at a snails pace. We get the breakfast free as a Honors Gold otherwise would not step foot back in this place. For $30 per person if you are paying.... Run away fast.

The waiters across the board are inattentive. The guy cooking the omlette, french toast, and pancakes tries hard but is also trying to keep up with kitchen orders so it's also slow.

The hotel on the other hand is excellent. Just avoid Gingers unless it's free and even then maybe avoid it.
