When you think of a neighbourhood italian, you sometimes think of friendly, family service and heaps of well cooked pasta in a homely sauce. You get very friendly, caring service here but that's where the connection ends.

Piccola Cucina is wonderful find with modern, light, delicate flavors and fantastic dishes. You can go to this small but perfectly formed restaurant for lunch or dinner and be genuinely delighted at the care and thought that has gone into the quality of some great dishes.

My favorites are the Vitello Tonnato ( not to be missed under any circumstances), the delicate beef carpacio and excellent salads such as the Arugula with Grana Padano and cherry tomatoes. In each the ingredients are of the highest quality and the preparation is skilled.

Piccola Cucina is my favorite for lunchtime by myself or with a friend, you can sit in the window or on the small patio onto the street and watch Soho NYC go by. You'll be looked after by great staff and you will leave content and happy.

From the chefs in the lil' hipster hats, to the server wearing equestrian riding boots to the Sicilian-centric food, this place is cool, cool, cool. Maybe 500 sq ft, they really utilize every inch of this place. The food was fantastic - make sure to order the arancino and a nice bottle of Nero d'Avola...classic Sicilian pairing.
Great service, excellent food, cozy room - WOW!

I had a really delicious meal here last night. The food was simple, but well presented and the flavours were really good. The wine was delicious and the staff friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped here for lunch without knowing the place beforehand in any way, and what a lucky draw that was!

The two of us ordered five dishes if I remember it correctly, one of which was their heavenly burrata with prosciutto (don't miss it!). The cannelloni was also beyond wonderful and quickly disappeared of the plate. The carpaccio di manzo was good, but not as special as the other two dishes I mentioned. We also had a scrumptious swordfish carpaccio and their fantastic meatballs in tomato sauce. Yum!

Next time I'm in NYC, I'll make sure to go back!

So not true! A fablious place to go for lunch! All pasta $10.00for lunch! To die for Cavatelli al funghi e ragu. Lamb ragu that melts in your mouth. Fennel and orange salad one definatly feels like they are on the coast line of Italy not on Spring Street in SoHo! Nobody speaks english.. The chefs, the waiters even the delivery guy. You need to say grazie mielle! The most fun find for lunch- people and kid friendly! Ciao for now. Try anything everything is amazing.
