Been here twice now and both times the service was excellent and there is so much choice on the menu!

“Best Place for Breakfast in the West 60s”
Reviewed May 4, 2012

In April I went to NYC for 8 days on business. I stayed in the West 60s, so searched out good, reasonably priced restaurants. First, there are hardly any good restaurants that are reasonably priced in the West 60s! Surprisingly, the more upscale East 60s have more restaurants to choose from that are reasonably priced. The breakfasts at this dinner like place are very good. I ate breakfast here 4 times. I ate dinner here only once, but was blown away at how good the food was, how large the portions were, and how it was an excellent value. The menu is so large that it's hard to imagine how any restaurant could cook so many different cusines so well. At dinner don't miss the deserts! They are among the best I have had. The lemon merange pie was about 6 inches or more high. 3 people joined me at each meal and they all have the same opinion about this place. I give this place 5 stars because they are better than anyone should expect from such a place, and because they are the best value for average people in the West 60s.

I always enjoy eating at this diner. The food is fresh and presented well and the waiters are courteous and helpful. I especially like their dinners--my favorite is the roast chicken. It comes with soup or salad, bread and butter, potato and vegetable and the portion is huge. Their fish and meat dinners are very good, too. And there are daily specials. I always feel like it is a special occasion when I eat there, even though it is just an ordinary day.

“Good, Clean Diner with Solid Food”
Reviewed October 9, 2010

Good, professional, and quick service.
Simple and clean decor with bright, sunny colors in a comfortable atmosphere. Appears to have been newly renovated.
Good food overall. I have enjoyed the freshly squeezed lemonade, burgers (tasty and fatty), salads, and sandwiches. Large portions.
Open late (maybe 24 hrs?), and usually not too hard to find street parking in the vicinity (and lots of garages nearby). Also convenient to Roosevelt Hospital which is one block away.
Prices are average for diner food (some things seem a bit pricey, but overall not bad).

“Clean friendly sparkly Diner”
Reviewed February 26, 2010

I would not say that the place feels Olympian. You might chuckle when you walk in because the color theme is pastel grays and pinks mixed with some pale blues, dusty rose and muted green... more like a 1990s office. But it is clean, bright and cheerful, with lots of windows for natural light, and there are nice potted plants and pictures everywhere. I have had breakfasts and lunch here. The service is always excellent and fast and the food is cooked just as I want it. The prices are very reasonable for New York.
