I have stayed at hotels around the world and and have never experienced the efficiency of this one! We asked and within 5 minutes our needs were met! The hotel is nice, the only down side was check in. There are big columns in lobby that keeps you isolated, meaning guest that came in after us were greeted before us. Not that big of a deal unless you have been traveling for an extended time and want to get to your room. But, the service of the rest of the hotel far out way the check in. It is close enough to Times Square with out being in the middle of it so you get the best of both worlds.

As an ambassador and platinum with IHG you would think loyalty of spending 90+ nights and spending thousands of dollars at Intercontinental and Crowne Plaza hotels across the country would be appreciated.

First I had a confirmation ( made reservation in October) for a deluxe family studio at $600 per night. Day before arrival hotel; confirmation email listed had me and my family down in a regular studio deluxe room. I was not upgraded by the ambassador guarantee and I could have canceled my reservation confirmed for a family deluxe studio and remade a reservation for a regular studio deluxe room for $399.00 thus saving me hundreds of dollars.

When I brought this to the attention of the ambassador desk they could care less. I had to ask for my water and fruit tray and had my complimentary movie charge removed as well. All benefits provided to ambassadors. I even went down and sat at the ambassador desk and ask them to pull my account up to make sure there was not a mistake within my account showing me as a ambassador.

Why bother to be an ambassador if the Hotel is not going to honor the benefits they promise? Why should I and my employees from my two companies ( I make them stay at IHG properties when traveling) continue to be loyal?

Not the way to treat those who have been so loyal for 10+ years to your hotel groups.

We really enjoyed our stay here - from check-in to check-out - this place might have had the friendliest staff we've ever encountered. Our room was on an upper floor - and on a corner - and was nice, if a bit on the small side. But it had a great view, the bed was superb, and the bathroom was updated and quite functional - the shower actually had one was those rain showerheads. Service during our stay was very good - any time we needed something, someone took care of it right away. And the bar/restaurant on the ground floor is a great spot for a pre or post meal drink - or to just people watch. We'll definitely stay here again. It's close enough to Times Square to be convenient - but not so close you have all the traffic/people/noise. And Madison Square Garden, 5th Avenue, and Central Park are all within walking distance.

Room Tip: We had an upper, southside corner - it was as quiet as you could get in New York - and had a great v...

Right in the busy area around Times Square. Walkable of course and thankfully as taxis take a while to get to it as it's very busy.

Great service. Rooms are quite spacious with good beds clean and air con. Bar area has a great atmosphere but can tricky getting a seat around late afternoon early evening. Nicely furnished with cosy feel for such a large hotel.

Location makes it great but it is real NY!

We stayed in a corner room in floor 27, the view was fantastic. True, it is quite expensive. We spent nearly 4,000 for 7 nights, however its worth the money. The location is just perfect; just a couple blocks from time square it is the perfect starting point to explore Manhattan. Located in the same street you find the theather hosting The Lion King, Mamma Mia, Matilda, The Phantom of the Opera and other shows. A subway entrance is located just next to the main door, and lets face it the NY subway is an experience you want to have while visiting the city. The room is small but really nice with all the amenities you would expect in a 5 stars hotel. The only thing I would change was the TV, it was placed right in front of the window blocking most of the breath taking view. Other than that it was perfect. The concierge helped us making some reservations for tours and she was really nice. We didn´t get to visit the pool and spa since we were too busy exploring and having fun.

Choose this hotel for a one night trip into the City. We arrived early as we had a 2:00 show and the gentleman at the front desk was very accomodating. When I asked if I could store we bags he generiously offered to see if a room was available and there was. The hotel offered a very good price with a large, clean and comfortable room. The location was just perfect. Across the street parking was very convenient. Will definitely stay here again. We will however skip the breakfast buffet, pretty expensive and not very good. Terrible eggs!

Literally feet from Times Square, this place is amazing. It was our 1st wedding anniversary, and the concierge was nice enough to bump us up to the 31st floor for a better view, AND she had wine and chocolate covered strawberries sent up to our room! It really made our night wonderful. The room was large, the bed was super comfy, and the shower was big enough for 2 with a waterfall showerhead. We loved everything about this place. Robes and slippers in the closet, and parking directly across the street (a great feature for guests who drive into the city!). We were celebrating late, and the staff was very accomodating in running us up a bottle of Prosecco at 2am. All the staff was very helpful and pleasant. This place is usually a little out of our price range, but I would definitely splurge on a stay there again!
