Nice and clean hotel, good location.
Very nice breakfast.
We did had a lot off problems the way the hotel uses the Creditcard.
Comming from Belgium we allready talk to the bank asking to rease the limit off the card.
The hotel blocked 1500 $ for each room on the VISA card.
At the end off our stay we had problems paying with VISA because the hotel did not use the 1500 $ which they blokked. We had two rooms so 3000 $ was not usable.
This created a very difficult situation and staff where getting unfriendly with us.
We where very supprised because we di not understand were to 3.000 $ was used for.
Eevn worse, the hotels blokked this money for 2 weeks and the VISA card was useless for that time.
So people be carrefull !!
All visitors from Europe note that there as very strange and stupid rule in the US, So get informed. You can drive a car when 16 years old but you can not sit on a bar drinking a glass off WATER !!! This is a seriuos crime in US.

My daughter and I had an Excellent time while staying at the InterContinental Hotel in NYC thanks to Chris Ford, head of Security.
From the moment we arrived on that Wednesday morning he was so helpful and generous with his kindness to us. He assisted the clerk in getting the room we had initially requested to making a point to give us proper directions and making sure we understood what train to take and when to get off. He assisted us beyond what was necessary. And it is because of his efforts and hospitality that I am writing this today.
He made our stay Exceptional!
He looked out for us and made a great impression on your Hotel. This was my third stay at the InterContinental but the first time in NYC. I rate this stay the best ever, thanks to Chris.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny also. Make a point to communicate what your plans and desires are...

Having stayed in NYC about 5 times, I thought I would step up my accommodation a notch, and stay at the Intercontinental. What a disappointment. After booking more than three months in advance, and requesting a corner King Room that had not had dogs or cats as guests, I was offered a "defeathered" room on the nineteenth level, when we arrived at 10 am or a "much"higher floor later that would also be "defeathered". Later turned out to be 3:10 in the afternoon, on the 20th floor, and after travelling overnight from LAX, they hardly went the extra yard to accommodate an early check in. The rooms are very compact, beds are firm, but still transfer movement from side to side. The staff are efficient, abrupt and hardly helpful. After staying six nights prepaid, and being offered two further nights at 70% more per night than my prepaid stay, I decided to transfer to the Staybridge on 40th, finding it a better value for money, at a slightly less standard. My stay at the Intercontinental reminded me how much wiser it is to stay at a smaller hotel, where you are generally valued as a guest.

Room Tip: This hotel takes little notice of room preferences when booking, so don't waste your time.

My husband and I chose NYC to spend our 18th anniversary. We stayed at the Intercontinental Times Square. The location is great (this was our 3rd trip to NYC) and the hotel staff absolutely wonderful. They surprised us by putting us in a corner room on the 35th floor (great view) and delivered Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room. The room was very nicely decorated, the bathroom has a large shower with rainshower head and separate hand held shower head - I loved the shower and they have huge bath towels (another plus!) they also supplied bath robes and a nice selection of coffee and tea. The best part for a gal who travels almost weekly - the bed - it was incredible, perhaps the best sleep I have had in years. I am not kidding! the front desk is very responsive and the restaurant was perfect for us - casual. There is a subway station nearby and a wide variety of things to do. The concierge has maps and recommendations. We will definitely recommend this hotel. Classy and thoughtful!

Room Tip: I recommend a high floor for a nice view.

This hotel was conveniently located to a theatre I was attending. WOW.
It is an oasis of beauty and calm in the midst of Times Square. Times Square can be quite annoying, but all is forgotten once you enter the doors of this phenomenal hotel.
I happened upon a good rate... not sure if that's always the case.
My room had an excellent view of all the action, yet, none of the noise of chaos penetrated thru to my room. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was luxurious.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Cannot understand why this isn't rated higher on TA.

What a place!!!!!
The staff was extremely helpful, kind and the concierge gave us great tips to shows, eat, clubs, everything..... And wait it doesn't stop there. I casually mention when i was finalizing the reservation that i was visiting to celebrate our 5th anniversary and guess what? The had sparking wine in the room for us.....

I recommend this property not only for its location, but mostly for its magnificent staff truly a world class in service.

From our corner room, we could see Times Square and the theatres that were within walking distance. The room was spacious, clean and well planned. A screen divided the sleeping area from the couches which helped since our son was sleeping in a cot on the other side. The concierge were very helpful and answered all of our questions easily. Overall an expensive but lovely hotel!
