We had appetizers and two entrees plus soup. The ribs on their appetizer menu were finger licking good. Husband had grilled chicken and I had red curry. Everything was very good. Would return here for more great meals.

“NO customer service whatsoever”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

We went there hoping for a great culinary experience but never even managed to get our order in.
The host/waiter chose to seat us right next to the toilets even though there were numerous tables available. When we asked to be seated away from the toilet area, he seemed distinctly bent out of shape. When we sat down at our new table next to where the other restaurant patrons were eating, we were not handed any menus while the woman who came in later than us (and seated next to us and not the toilets) was immediately handed her menu. In a diverse and multicultural city such as New York, it was disheartening to be treated so discourteously while another patron was greeted with sycophantic and diabetes inducing "courtesy" just because the waiter has an apparent inferiority complex when it comes to his Caucasian patrons and the self hatred induced opposite when it comes to his fellow Asian people.
Having lived in a European country for the last 3 years in a little village where we were a distinct minority, often gawked at, remarked upon, our children's black hair touched at random, we thought being back home in the greatest country on earth, and especially NYC which displays our nation's multicultural heritage at its best, we would at least be comfortable and not have to worry about racism. Imagine our surprise when it came from a fellow Asian. After our ill treatment at the hands of the waiter, my six year old declared that he never wants to have Thai food again.
We ended up dining at a fantastic Korean restaurant which was one of 4 on the street. My husband and son had gone in ahead of our daughter and I as we went next door to make a nail appointment. When we came out and sought the restaurant we thought daddy and brother had gone to, we could not find them in the 3 restaurants that were next to each other. We went into each one, one by one and sometimes twice. Each time we were greeted with a very warm welcome. We finally realized there was another one apart from the three and found our party. Again we were greeted with a smile and warmth. What a happy end to a hideous beginning.
Yum Yum Too is not worth even sampling the cuisine if they have different policies for different people. They really need to train their workers in their customer service skills or lack thereof.

“Wanted to keep it local”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

As with most of the times when we are out of town, rely on Tripadvisor reviews. Were not dissappointed here!!! WIsh we would have had time to go here again. There are three Yum Yums in a row, all seem similar, extremely busy, VERY good food and cocktails!
