Description: Bhatti is an ultra-authentic north Indian restaurant in the heart of New York City that's refined yet affordable, upscale and still comfortable. Take your pick from a variety of kebabs and curries and watch as our master chefs work their magic at the Bhatti. Bhatti Indian Grill is Indian food like you've never tasted-the flavors are unique, harmonious on the palate, a lot less of the overwhelming heat that's associated with Indian cuisine and something all together far more sophisticated. The recipes are rare finds even in India, where they're special treats sought out from master chefs. Bhatti is a real gourmand's restaurant-seriously made food with top-notch, educated service to do it justice. Bhatti's mastermind Gaurav Anand had early opportunities to train and partner with India's master chefs and run a culinary empire in his home country. But a spark that ignited on his first trip to the Big Apple proved that Anand would have to act on even bigger aspirations. It was with this passion and his extensive knowledge of North Indian cuisine that he decided to open Bhatti Indian Grill in August 2009. Anand is also owner of the newly opened Moti Mahal Delux in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Kebabs are the specialty of the house and they're anything but typical. The signature dish is Gilauti Kebab, which is steeped in history, originating in the province of Lucknow as a royal meal for a king who had lost his teeth in old age. Unwilling to let go of his dignity (and thereby his ability to eat meat), the king turned to the greatest kebab maker in the land, who devised a special marinade incorporating 160 spices resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth texture that didn't require any chewing. Anand is one of the few chefs to have learned the secrets to the recipe. The final product lives up to the legend- the rounds of lamb really do melt in your mouth like butter.

“Very nice, tasty, good prices”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

This little restaurant has very friendly staff, tasty food and good prices, Bring your own booze from the convenience store across the street.
The stuffed mushrooms are a very tasty starter, and we tried both a Murgh Tikka Masala and a Rogan Josh and very much enjoyed them. Good portions but not humongous.
We both eat plenty Indian food and found it to be as good as we hoped.
And the ambience was very nice and romantic.

“Excellent, well-priced North Indian food”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

This cosy restaurant is located in Little India in Midtown NYC. The food is North Indian and overall is excellent. The kebabs are especially good. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices are very reasonable too. Definitely recommended.

“Good food”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Went here for lunch. The bhatti da murgh was delicious. Just a tiny bit of charring on the outside, enough to give it that BBQ-flavour and still moist on the inside. Looks to me that they used chicken thighs in stead of breastmeat. Onion kulcha was good so were the condiments. All in all a most enjoyable meal.

“FANTASTIC FOOD”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

This was my 3rd visit to Bhatti in last 2 yrs.Everytime I go to New York I visit this restaurant. With reservation you do not have to wait-otherwise be prepared to wait for 30-45 min.The queue keeps on getting longer. The food as usual is fantastic and if like Lucknawi cuisine then nothing to beat it. The price and portions are well balanced and ultimately GREAT SATISFACTION.A bit crowded and noisy so be prepared for it.
