“Delicious and Unexpected”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

Even as a New Yorker, I hadn't found half of these places before, and they were all delicious.

It was a great way to see the Village and try a variety of tasty foods. Candy is a great tour guide and made us feel right at home.

Highly recommended -- a great way to spend the day and eat a lot of awesome food!

“Taste of China Town”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

This tour was an excellent way to sample a wide range of food from various regions of China. We had everything from dumplings to beef jerky to steamed pork buns, all delicious. We even tried Bubble Tea which is apparently trendy. Our favorite was the Dim Sum stop at the end of our tour where we finally mastered chopsticks. Along the way we also had a great introduction to the history of Chinatown. Our amazing guide for the afternoon was Candy who was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A great afternoon! Highly recommended.

“Culture Food Tour”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

We signed up for the food tour since it was our first time as an entire family vising NYC. Our guide was Candy who was amazing! It ended up being kind of a private tour for us since no one else signed up for the tour that day. We had the BEST grilled cheese I've ever had, we stopped by Grom's which had AMAZING hot chocolate, went to the George Washington Arch, stopped by Molly's Cupcakes - which was so delicious, had a surprise free sampling from a street vendor that knew Candy, and had several other stops on the tour. Candy was really knowledgable about a lot of NYC's history and was super nice to us. After the tour was done, we felt like we missed her already since she bonded with us pretty quickly. Definitely sign up for this tour! I've been to alot of food tours in different places, and this one has is on my top 2.

“Guide should get an emmy or something”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Our guide, Curt, should win some kind of prize for humour, exuberance and presence. He started by impressively reciting the names and homes of all 20 of us. What I liked about the tour was a) the guide and b) it was a tour as much about the food as the locale/ history. I love food, so appreciated the recommendations for places to eat, recipes to make etc. The food on the tour was pretty good, Joe's pizza is simple and tasty; the meat balls were salty and filling; the tasting menu from the wine bar was made for a great break; and you cannot go wrong with cheese. Stopping in the basement of the famous beat bar was a great touch, and it was nice that you could have a couple of drinks on the tour.

Not much ground was covered, just a couple of blocks, but there is a lot to talk about in that neck of the woods.

I suppose my only hang up was that for $50, I figure the food could be a little more than small tasters.

“Great Food Tour of Chinatown”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Spent an enjoyable afternoon in Chinatown with our tour leader Nancy Paris. Had a great time learning the history of Chinatown in addition to eating some super food. Nancy enjoyed sharing her knowledge of history, including what some streets are named the way they are. Makes the movies look tame.
