Have just returned from this amazing hotel. From the moment you step out of your cab you are treated to the very highest level of luxury, sheer perfection and service that an hotel could offer.
Kit Kemp's stylish interiors are stunning- incredible use of colour, fabrics and contemporary art make every room and every turn in the guest areas, a visual indulgence.
We were generously upgraded to a beautiful suite- as spacious as an apartment, stylish and so comfy with huge sofa, armchairs and the best bed ever slept in .
The food was incredible too- the sweetest fruits, most delicious pancakes, granola and croissants- in fact every scope of breakfast catered for.Freshly pressed fruit juices were a morning treat - the fig and strawberry was great.
Attention to detail is tops and the dashing staff are so helpful and accommodating giving great restaurant tips, route plans and the feel that nothing is too much trouble.
Jason took us up to the roof to see the site of the vegetable garden and meet the chickens !
Having stayed in rads of Morocco, palaces of Rajasthan and hotels all over the globe - this hotel comes out with the very best and despite room rates it is worth every penny and will make any stay in New York spectacular.

Room Tip: Everything is beautiful, ensure you use the reception rooms too.

The hotel is part of a small London chain and it shows; the staff are superbly trained and engage the guest rather than parrot,"have a nice day". The rooms are elegant and comfortable. My only criticism was the room service menu - it could be more extensive. I will stay there agin.

We stayed at the Crosby Street Hotel for the last two nights of our honeymoon.

We arrived early and were told our room would be ready at 2pm which we were expecting so we went to explore the area.

We arrived back at 2pm but our room still wasn't ready, so we had a drink in the bar. Slightly disappointed that the drink wasn't FOC but in any case it wasn't long until we were up in our room.

I love the style of this hotel, and after visiting The Soho, The Covent Garden and The Charlotte Street hotels in London, I was not disappointed with the fresh, sleek décor of the hotel's communal areas, however our room had a bright green feature wall which was a shame as I adored all the other room designs I'd seen on the site.

The room itself was very luxurious. The bed was so comfy and came with a beautiful lavender pillow spray. The windows are very grand and I enjoyed sitting in the window seat watching Soho go by below.

We were very grateful to be welcomed moments after arriving in our room with a complimentary bottle of champagne and a note congratulating us on our wedding - a very special touch.

The location of this hotel is amazing! We had stayed in Times Square for 3 nights prior but much preferred the cool, urban feel of this location with the best shops on the doorstep!

We visited the bar again after returning late evening from a charity gala and, even though the kitchen was just shutting, because we were guests they kept it open to serve us. We had the sliders and flat bread which were amazing!!

All in all this is a 5 star hotel, a very cool one at that! The staff are very friendly and professional but it is what you'd expect for the price.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone!

We stayed for a quick Saturday night visit. The hotel is in a wonderful location, close to great shops and restaurants. Upon arrival the valet secured us a free parking spot right on the street. The management is friendly and efficient. The decor of the hotel is artsy but cozy and elegant at once. There is a dog motif throughout the hotel and I was told that smaller dogs were allowed there though exceptions had been made for larger ones on occasion. (This is important to those who travel with pets!) Our room was lovely and spacious and overlooked the street with a huge window. They have the most amazing showers! The water pressure is like an amazing massage-don't want to get out! When we entered our room the valet asked if we would like a tray of coffee or tea. He promptly sent up a tray and felt bad that he forgot the cookies we requested so he sent those up without charge. The beds are extremely comfortable. THey had a small but nice gym.I was sorry I wasn't staying longer. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone. The staff is courteous, never snooty and very welcoming.

Stayed in a deluxe upper floor room for a week over Christmas period. The room was outstanding... bigger than other big cities like London/Paris etc for the price (about $700) with a large bathroom. The decor is gorgeous (someone said its like Paul Smith did it and they are spot on), and the full length warehouse style windows are great for just sitting in front of. Bathroom is nice with good shower (no bath in deluxe room) and a heated towel rail (so you can actually do a bit of laundry if you like rather than send everything out).

As others have said the location is great - walking distance to everything in Soho, Noho, East Village, and Greenwich (and even Little Italy if thats your thing...). So right in the middle of some great shopping. Not many great places around to eat, but theres always subway and taxis... (btw I echoe how bad Balthazar down the road is... good burgers and pulled pork sandwiches up the road north at Back Forty West for lunch though).

Only bad thing about Crosby St is the restaurant and the food - we ate breakfast there most days and were very satisfied. But Christmas lunch was an appalling affair waiting an hour for appetisers and a meal of generally mediocre quality (some things needed to be sent back). Room service one night was also comparably mediocre and both were expensive. So bottom line, if you want a nice meal book outside of the hotel, or plan ahead locally!

Would we stay again... 50/50... rooms and location are awesome, but maybe we would try somewhere up near the park if the restaurant didnt improve.

Room Tip: go for an upper room with a view

We had a thoroughly splendid stay for three nights at the crosby just before Christmas 2012.
Check in was effortless, the room was delightful, (plenty of space for two adults and two children!) the breakfasts were excellent, the service was friendly and attentive.
The bed is by far the most confortable, perfectly formed marshmallow I have ever sunk into and, despite jetlag we had an amazing nights sleep! It was our wedding anniversary plus our kids firts ever visit to NY and we arrived back the first night to thoughtful cupcakes for the kids and a gift and champagne for us! So much appreciated! Lovely lunge for a glass of wine (great winelst) by the fire......

The location was great- walkable to little italy and chinatown for dinner, two seconds to the main subway that takes you up to mid town in a few minutes.

We will most definitely be back! Thank you Crosby Street.

We are 8 nights into an 11 night stay at this truly wonderful hotel. I researched hotels in NYC for a very long time before choosing The Crosby. I arrived with very high expectations and these expectations have been fulfilled and surpassed.

The hotel is beautifully appointed. The lobby, drawing room, restaurant and rooms are full of art, gorgeous fabrics and finishes. Firmdale has nailed interior design. I love the feel of this place.

Our room overlooks Crosby St and watching the street life below is one of my favorite things. The bed is top notch, the bathroom fantastic and the housekeeping pristine.

The location has to be the best in town. We stayed in Midtown for two nights initially - never again! Crosby St is quiet in busy SoHo. The neighborhood is amazing and the shopping especially off Broadway is incredible. Three subway stations are walking distance from the hotel- the 6 on Spring takes you east up to Upper East ( Bleeker and Union Sq on the way) and downtown to Walk st, the N&R takes you to Times Sq and Midtown and the A&C takes you west to Upper West side.

The staff make the hotel really special. The restaurant staff are so friendly and welcoming we now prefer to eat in rather than go out. (Balthazar was terrible). The head Concierge Chris is very helpful and a top bloke. He sets the tone. Couldn't be better. Every staff member, without fail has been first rate.

The only downside is all other hotels will be a disappointment after this stay. Attended a conference at the Waldorf Astoria and couldn't wait to get back to The Crosby each day. What a contrast.

I am already planning my next stay.
