“Look (very carefully) before you leap”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Bought a cobb salad to take out for lunch. In the glassed case the product was attractively displayed in a see through plastic box with a piece of chicken across the top. $9.75+ tax. Surpirse, surprise! Upon opening, found no chicken breast. Instead was a piece of chicken 1/8" thick. They must have used a razor blade to cut it. What was underneath was 80% lettice by volume with just a dabble of other items usually found in a cobb. What a disappointment

“Average for the service and money”
Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

I've been to the two locations in the 90s and this particular location. I've enjoyed the sandwiches and pastries for years at this location. The service behind the counter is brusque, but I guess I'd be angry working with two other people in such a tight spot. It is expensive and sometimes it's tough to find a table during the lunch hour. It is expensive, but consistent. Oh, almost forgot to mention that their macarons are the only item that's not worth the purchase. Hard!

Because of the of the food I've had at this location I tried picking up a sandwich at the 90s/lex location. It was stale bread and the cheese was moldy.

“Authentic NYC cafe”
Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

The foot traffic coming through for coffee and pastry was near constant for the hour I was here. Amazing outfits and a gorgeous clientele. A terrific selection for a small cafe. A nice place for a tasty bite and people watching.

“Nice place”

Nice place for a coffee but a little on the expensive side. Will say it had the cleanest restroom we saw anywhere

“Nice spot on the upper east side”
Reviewed May 29, 2012

Think the location is excellent as is the selection of pastries, coffee, etc. There is outdoor seating which in theory is great but the problem is that the chairs are over a grate which is clearly an exhaust system and it was REALLY hot sitting over this!
