Stayed at World Center Hotel and the 4 of us went up to the Hotel Restaurant on the 20th floor. It was a good experience made into a great experience by our server, Jose Fiore. He was great, personable, knowledgeable of the menu. A really good time! Thanks Jose

We spend there 3 nights in April.

At first, this hotel is in the same building as Club Quarters hotel. They have two separated entrances, but inside their are connected and most probably even share the rooms if necessary - I think the only reason of having two brands in one building is the marketing - World Center Hotel rooms are sold cheaper from my point of view (I paid $133 / night on hotwire, but I was checking hw every day for two months to get this rate).

Hotel rooms are great, well equipped with comfy beds. Our room in 8th floor was oriented directly in the 9/11 memorial and new Freedom tower - it was amazing. There is nothing bad I can say against the hotel itself - 5 star service, very clean and looks pretty new.

I was a bit concerned about the noise - on the Saturday morning there were some noises (some steel construction arrived) which woke me up around 5am but in 20 minutes it was over and I continued sleeping till 8am. On Sunday it was completely silent and Monday (surprisingly!) the same.

Room service offered some onsite restaurant menu items (but I did not find anything special there) plus some pizza and Chinese food from nearby restaurants (we tried one of them and the food was great). We tried once the onsite restaurant for a breakfast ($ 50 for two) - the food was not bad, but day before we ate in local deli better food for half price. On the other hand, the people working in the restaurant were extremely nice and attentive - and the view was again unbeatable (25th floor of the building) - I would suggest to try it at least once to enjoy the view.

Getting to the hotel was a bit pain the first day - we were tired from the long flight and I did not check properly the location on the map - and getting there from the tube took around 20 minutes - we had a wheelchair with us and due to the ongoing constructions, we had to go around half of financial district (big fence around the construction site). This was the most annoing thing about the whole stay - we travelled mostly by tube so getting to and from hotel was very timeconsuming. Once the constructions will be over, it will be just 3 minutes of walk, instead of 15. NYC cops were really helpfull and helped us to navigate pretty easily the first day.

There is a nice choice of shops & restaurants around the hotel (Century 21st), but few places are still closed after the Sandy - for example the A&F on the Water street or Starbucks on the West St.

I really like the hotel and will definitely come back again - but hope the construction will be over that time, so I will not have to walk 10 km a day to get to the tube.

Room Tip: If you need to grab quickly a cab, go around the corner to the Mariott Downtown NY - there are alway...

A quick weekend trip with my kids - their first time to NYC - was made extra special by the staff at this hotel. When I mentioned this fact they asked f we could wait 5 minutes more to check-in and the result was a room on the 18th floor and an amazing view over the new Freedom Plaza.
If that was not enough, the front desk staff made an extra effort to organize all of our tourist tickets to maximize our efforts and time.
I realize this is most often considered a hotel for the business traveler - but it's perfect for families too.
THANK YOU!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view - and they WILL deliver.

A modern, affordable hotel in Lower Manhattan/Financial District. Rooms are well appointed and maintained. On site restaurant is very good, and has great views of the City and World Trade Center. That said, with its proximity to the 9/11 Memorial (right next door), it is a bit of a tourist circus during the day. There is also a lot of construction all around the hotel, so if you are noise sensitive, you may want to look elsewhere or bring earplugs! One other negative, is the subway system is Lower Manhattan is a bit chaotic at the moment with numerous service changes on multiple lines, espsecially on weekends. Don't assume you'll be able to get where you want easily because of proximity to MTA subway stations.

Room Tip: Higher floors may have a bit less exposure to noise from surrounding construction sites.

My girlfriend and I got this room on a discounted travel site and were happy with it. Its close to battery park which is a nice place to walk to see the statue of liberty. Wall st. and Brooklyn bridge are also within walking distance. There are subway stops a couple of blocks away. The location doesn't have much nightlife around it but the front desk recommended taking a taxi for 10-15 bucks to find some great places to hang out around 3rd and 4th ave. The restaurant has breakfast buffet for 11 or 16 buck depending if you want eggs or meat. You pay for the view but its worth it to experience at least once.

Room Tip: high up rooms are very quiet
