“Great deal on line - great hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

My friend and I got this hotel at a great price on one of the budget travel sites. We had read all the reviews especially noting that the construction noise was a bit of a problem during the day - however since we planned on being out for most of the day we decided why not. What we found was a little gem, beautiful new hotel with great facilities, which over look the 9/11 memorial site. The hotel was a little isolated but the subway line is very close and for $2.25 a 15 minute ride took you straight to Times Square. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant on the top floor was especially nice and breakfast was fantastic - full buffet hot and cold for $15 (the scrambled eggs where to die for), there is even an outside patio with an amazing view of the tranquility memorial pools, don't think many people are going to have those photo's. Would definitely stay again. Sometimes after the noise and craziness of mid Manhattan it's nice to come back to some where a little quieter.

This hotel is super clean, new, practical. The staff helped me check in on a computer like we do at the airport, then swiftly up to the room which was extremely compact, but very well designed.
There are a lot of construction type noises but not to the point where you cannot sleep..
it was cheaper than other hotels at around $279 but it all feels very sterile and processed..perfect for a business trip.

We are glad that you found the hotel to be clean, efficient and a good value. We apologize that you found the experience to be “bland”. Our staff is focused on providing a warm welcome. Some unique hotel features that guests may want to enjoy is the View of the World, the private (for hotel guests and their invited guests) restaurant on the 20th Floor of the hotel with views and a terrace facing north to the 9-11 Memorial and new World Trade Center #1, and a south facing terrace (open in season) facing the New York Harbor. We have a Guest Service Manager on duty in our lobby 24/7 and hope that guests will avail themselves of their services to make for a more memorable experience.

As everyone knows, hotels in Manhattan are very expensive and the cheaper ones are always unsatisfactory. But during my most recent visit I stayed at the World Center Hotel located in the Financial District of New York City, which was affordable and I was very pleased. The hotel had actually just reopened due to damage from Hurricane Sandy when I got to New York on November 28. The front desk workers were nice and got us checked in quickly. The room was bigger than I expected and was clean and comfortable. We had an outdoor patio/balcony that overlooked the 9/11 Memorial. Although the hotel is located away from most tourist attractions there are subway entrances nearby and they are easy to find. I will definitely stay here again due to the price and location. This is the only hotel that is under $300 a night in New York City that is exceptional. Stay here, you won't regret it.

We are glad that you found the hotel to be an exceptional value and that you enjoyed your room and the views. Based on your arrival date, you were one of the first guests to stay at the World Center Hotel after we were required to evacuate the hotel prior to Hurricane Sandy, and subsequently to complete repairs to ready it for guest arrivals. It is excellent feedback for us to know that the guest experience was in keeping with our high standards.

Great hotel close to all attractions. Walking distance to discount theatre tickets, subway one block away. First class view of the world trade centre memorial. Construction noise was not a factor. Would defiantly stay here again.

I have stayed at the World Center Hotel on two occasions and I would definitely recommend it to others travelers. Check-In was easy and quick and my room was exactly as promised. I had a small kitchenette and two floor to ceiling windows that opened up and overlooked the 9/11 Memorial. Bottles of cold water are available on every floor at no cost...very nice place to stay!

The hotel was new and nice, the room was larger than expected (bedroom with kitchenette). We were there from a Thurs afternoon to Sun afternoon. I didn't think about the construction noise when booking, but it was only for Thurs night/Fri morning and I think it started at around 4 or 5 am. The staff were nice but not memorable. We had gone out to the meatpacking district on Sat night and had difficulty getting a cab home that night because many thought it was too far from everything. Very close to Century 21, I think we went there 4 times during our short stay! But next time I visit I will probably stay more midtown-ish.

This hotel is in the middle of the construction of the 9/11 memorial and the view is AMAZING. The rooms are small-ish but normal by NYC standards and everything is clean. Prices are good now, but once the memorial is finished I would guess they will double at least.

The best part- every floor has free water bottles and filtered water so you don't need to pay $5 for a bottle of water on the street.

Room Tip: I think any room would be great, the windows open out so you can get great views of the memorial.
