A neighborhood place that distinguishes itself by its variety and inventiveness in a neighborhood that's saturated with competitors. Very busy during lunch because of local hospital / med school diners; but can also be busy at night. Helpful staff, and good value.

Came here for lunch with a group of 5 people and it did take a little while before we got seated. While waiting, I noticed a lot of take out orders. That is probably what keeps this place afloat. The staff was very nice and courteous. Everyone tries to work as fast and efficient as possible.

I ordered the Wow Wow Roll and Snow Mountain Roll. Presentation was nice but flavor of the food was just okay. Probably a little on the bland side and the ingredients seem like they've been sitting out for some time.

The miso soup was just average. Not very flavorful but it did have quite a bit of pieces of tofu and seaweed. I have a feeling it's pre-made.

Overall, the place is consistent with their food. Not a bad place for their lunch specials but I do think their rolls are overpriced for the quality that you get. The amount is similar to other places and I can fill up on 2 rolls for lunch. If I had to choose between this place and Fatty Fish, I would choose Fatty fish.

I used to eat at Matsu, but I hadn't been in years until last week. It was okay. The food was uninspired and the place is bare, which means the conversations from other tables can be heard. There's nothing that is wonderful about this place. There are many other Japanese restaurants that are much better and make for a more pleasant evening.

A nice local sushi restaurant off the main street. The staff is friendly and helpful. They made a few combinations that were not on the menu. It is a little small and can feel cramped when crowded. The food was served quickly and at the appropriate temperature. All the fish tasted fresh. Price is whst you eould expect. I would recommend.

Called to order pick up. When we arrived there was no order. Since we were already there we reordered and took home. Sushi is decent but nothing special. The salmon sushi was the best. Fine option but would not be my first choice.
