We took the four hour tour which called in at getting on for a dozen different eateries from a Vietnamese cafe to a pickle place across Manhattan and Brooklyn. Our host was a gregarious and knowledgeable cabby (don't forget to check out his great website). Most of the places we couldn't have reached on our own either because they were in distant parts of NYC or aren't in the guide books. The quality and range of the food on offer was great - Dave only visits the places he considers the best - but after six or seven stops we were stuffed. Its not a tour for the faint-hearted. The only downside is that is expensive - our four hour trip for 2 people cost $400, although this included all the food and non-alcoholic beverages. if you want to experience what ordinary New Yorkers have the opportunity to chow down on then this tour may be for you.
