Was lucky enough to have this restaurant essentially to myself on a recent morning, thanks to some nasty weather in NYC. The Breslin has a wood-paneled, clubby look that is softened by an enviable collection of animal figurines. The poached eggs with curried lentils will jump-start your morning with heat and spice. The coffee is strong, the bread delicate and the service friendly and knowledgeable. I'll eagerly go back to the food at other times.
