If you want to have burger with a nice decor flair, this is a great place. The design is really cool and the food is very good. The open space kitchen makes it even more interesting. They have somewhat married 1920s style and architecture to post-modern mood and great music. The crowd is a mix of locals and visitors to the city and the food is delicious although expensive. It is worth visiting the restaurant to experience it and the Ace Hotel where it is located. I had a sumptuous burger with cumin feta and a tasty spinach salad.

Comfort food abounds in comfortable if raucous surroundings. Fav table is actually a booth that looks into the kitchen. Very solid pub food that has not disappointed in a handful of visits. From beautifully stacked and savory ceasar salad to the lamb burger (only if you can't make up your mind on the specials of the day) or, god help me, the suckling pig (which has to be ordered in advance).

simply put, the lamb burger with thrice cooked chips are possibly the best combo of burger and fries that i have ever had. the taste of lamb was rich, effusive--imbued with better lamb flavour than almost every lamb dish that i have ever had. . .the chips were thick cut, and blessed with dense potato flavour and a crisp outer shell that i will long remember. matched with a zesty house made ketchup for the chips, and an unctuous cumin spread for the burger, it was a perfectly composed meal. similarly, the thick cut pork chop was cooked perfectly, and mated with excellent beans. servers were hip, happy, and very attentive. the room is bohemian and fun, and actually adds to the dining experience.

We ate there 3 times in our visit and really stuffed ourselves. It reminded me of London from food, beer, and decor. The staff was totally down to earth and friendly. Bartenders in NYC don't really chat much, but the ones here were happy to tell you everything they were doing behind the bar and give some insider tips to other cocktail lounges and trending spots around. We will go there every time we are in town. And yes, the food was great!

Food was great. Atmosphere great and the service accommodating. Was it the best food I had in New York? No. But it was pretty darn good. I would go back.
