If you want to stay in Times Square you will be in the middle of it all. Close to the subway and plenty of restaurants. 9th Ave is loaded with places to eat.
The hotel itself is decent. Stayed in better and certainly have stayed in worse. You can see some signs of aging in parts of the room.
The elevators can get quite busy during check in and check out times. The staff are very nice and accommodating.
There is a $25 daily fee. You get two drink tickets a day and access to the local gym if you want. I think this is a standard in the area. The food options are limited but we didn't try any. There's 2 Bros pizza down the street with cheap slices and open late. For coffee go to Corvo down the street.
Places we ate on 9th Ave that were awesome! Westside diner, Travola, K-Rico, Shorty's and Taqueria Diana. No point in eating in Times Square when you have Hells Kitchen at your doorstep. More
