We had breakfast here one morning and the place was so friendly and charming we booked for a birthday dinner the following night! Service was outstanding, worthy of 5 stars. The menu is reasonably varied and very authentic. The quality of food was excellent however could be pricey depending on your choice. The atmosphere is very relaxed and not stuffy which suited us. Definately worth a visit if you are in New York, even the Clinton's have been! The only downside would be the wine prices, seriously high but you do get what you pay for and they have won many awards for their wine lists.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in NYC! I have yet to find a more authentic italian experience anywhere else in the USA. I took a business card as we left and realized that they only have two locations. (one in NYC and one in Verona, Italy) The gnocchi and taglioni were absolutely amazing and the waiter chose a reasonably priced wine to compliment it very well. Even the bread that they brought out at the begining was wonderful and came with some sundried tomato oil to dip it in! The atmosphere is very nice too, made me feel like I was in Italy. I don't know what other people are talking about saying that this was over priced. The location is right off of central park across from the Plaza hotel. Would you really expect a truly authenic place with amazing food to have plates for under $20? This was a great value for the food, location and the experience. Two people could easily dine here for under $100 including desert and a glass of wine. I would recommend this to anyone going to New York and looking for a nice dinner out!

We'd stopped into this cafe/restaurant recently for a quick bite and perhaps a glass of wine or a coffee. We were seated quickly and sat for 8-10 minutes without anyone approaching our table to see if we wanted to order or if we'd been able to look over the menu. Once someone did come the service was fine, nothing over-the-top helpful but adequate and personable. We ordered an Irish Coffee, a croissant and a mocha w/a shot of Irish Cream on the side. When the bill came we were shocked to find the shot of Irish Cream was $13.00! That's just about what a small bottle of Bailey's costs. Having been to NYC MANY times before we are well aware of prices being higher than many other places and accept that, but this was ridiculous. All tolled the mocha and side shot was $18.50 - for a coffee and a shot. Thanks but no thanks, this place was completely overpriced. I have e-mailed them about this and haven't heard anything back yet either so it doesn't seem that they're overly concerned with customer satisfaction.

My friends and I were staying at the Pierre for a long weekend and needed a fun place to have a late dinner. Our concierge recommended Antica Bottega del Vino. Upon our arrival we were presented with a glass of prosecco- compliments of the hotel concierge. I loved the place. The wine list is wonderful and our waiter was very helpful with suggestions.. The food was beautifully prepared and the service was excellent. It was a perfect way to end our first night in New York!
