“Always a welcoming stay”

Terrific, accommodating staff, good breakfast. Great location, down the street from MSG and Penn Station. Within walking distance from most attractions in NYC. Reasonable rates. We have stayed here many times in the past and continue to come back. This Hampton continues to be among the best.

Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The room size is okay and very clean and location of this hotel is excellent....walking distance to Times Square and the shopping areas, near empire state, Madam Tussaud's and public transportation. The quality of breakfast is also very good and it's complimentary!!

I will definitely stay here again if I do get a chance.

After a fantastic experience in Hampton Inn Times Square NORTH in 2005 (they have a great breakfast!) we decided to try the Hampton Inn Times Square SOUTH. The rooms were clean and no complaints there.But the breakfast was of a standard any hotel unworthy.Brown plastic plates, substandard food and very morning a scrimmage to get it.But what flabbergasted me the most is one day I came back to the hotel late morning to find the Red Cross taking blood from people in.....the Breakfast area!! How disgusting! Although I sympathize with the thought behind it,I believe a hotel is not a place for these kind of things and of all places never do this in a room where people will eat their breakfast the next morning.After that day I decided to have breakfast somewhere else in New York City.

Also long waits for the 2 elevators.32 floors and 2 elevators.

No,this is my first and only stay at this hotel.Next time back to Hampton Inn Times Square North.

We try to participate in events such as these as much as possible. With limited space, our breakfast atrium is used for different events at times. Rest assured all precautions were taken during the drive, none to compromise the health and safety of our guests and staff. We thank you for giving us a chance. Thanks again!

I stayed here 3 nights. Generally, it was a pleasant stay.

Pros
• Location is good. Hotel is located South of Times Square which is about a 10 minute walk away only.
• The room is comfortable – bed is comfortable, has the usual LCD TV, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. But it lacks a refrigerator.
• Breakfast provided is adequate. It is the usual ‘Hampton Inn’ breakfast – sausages, waffle, and the usual bread and croissant, cereals, yoghurt and fruits. This is a nice addition, if you want to eat something before heading out.
• There is a small health centre at the basement, but I did not use it.
• Complimentary wifi is provided.
• Service at the counter and porter is very friendly. If you need to ask for directions, where the nearest restaurant is and so on, they will be more than willing to help.

Join the Hiltons Honor on the spot, and you earn points, plus some goodies given right away as well.


Cons
• Not much con, but given what you pay, it is reasonable and value for money.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn from March 14-18 and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but very clean. The beds were also very comfortable. The only complaint was that the elevators were too small and sometimes there wasn't enough room to sit for breakfast. Overall, a great place to stay and we would definitely stay there again!

During my stay at the Hampton Inn in Manhattan I was impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff was. We didn't necessarily need too much from them, but what caught my eye was that all of them smiled and addressed us in a polite and friendly manner. We all know that New York City can be expensive and having a huge complimentary breakfast was so convenient. It was a meal we didn't have to worry about. It was not just fruit and dry cereal, it was a hot fresh breakfast on both days. The location was great and surprising low rates. Three blocks down wanted more than $200 more for the same type of room. If and when I return to NYC there is not another hotel that I would even consider.

The elevator issue mentioned in previous comments was no problem for us. We were on the 29th floor and did not have any noticeable delays.
We had a bit of an issue with a reservation for an excursion which was privately booked, our reservation on the ticket was not the same as we discussed with the person at the external booking office. Since English is not my main language, I asked at the reception if they could help me out. Front desk employee Aneidy Moreno did not hesitate to help us and called to verify our reservation. Thank you Aneidy for your friendly help.

Room Tip: Great view when you choose a room with a view on the city!
