“Excellent location, service and complimentary breakfast!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

This hotel is a great place for anybody to stay while visiting NY! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is superb - even serving pastries form a local bakery! The rooms are a bit small but very adequate and comfortable and clean. It is only two blocks away from Time Square center and less than a block from the subway station. It was very close to many popular sites! Great place to stay and reasonably priced for the area.

Just got back from our family visit to NewYork (June 21st 2013). We found the hotel location to be perfectly central to all things-time square, Empire State, liberty cruise, grand central station. The room was small but fine-clean and tidy but not a lot of hanging room in the wardrobes! The complimentary breakfast was great! Waffles, eggs, bacon, sausages...yoghurts, pastries etc....
The best bit about this hotel are the staff.... Very friendly, warm, helpful people who could not do enough for us. Very impressed too with the manager- the lift was broke on one day but very soon fixed again, we didn't complain as it wasn't an issue, however on check out the manager presented us with a 50 dollar visa gift card as a way of saying sorry for any inconvenience ... Bought our tea at the airport so thank you... When we visit New York again we would defo stay here x thank you from mr and mrs langan and our daughter lily xxx

You read occasional reviews from disgruntled people and hope that they are not right especially when you spend this much money. Hotels in New York City are expensive. The bad reviews were not reflective of this hotel. I have stayed in New York City 6 times in the last 12 years. Rooms are small, this one was the largest I have stayed in though not much bigger. Clean and comfortable. We were very fortunate that our room was right across from the breakfast area so we did not need to use the elevator as it is the only one and the staff use it to get from floor to floor. Our son and daughter in law were in the basement. No problems with that room either, it was the same size and clean. The staff was great. Unlike other hotels where Parking is hard to get to after you unload your bags here the entrance is AFTER the hotel so I was able to just pull across the street after unloading everyone, no driving around the block to get into the lot. Try driving in Times Square at 4pm on a week day it is not easy. Breakfast was just like all the other Choice Hotels. No issues here either. It was an easy walk to Times Square and to the Intreped museum. Eat at Bubba Gump in times square but that is another review. Great hotel. Of all my experiences in New York Hotels this was the best.

My friend and I stayed here and it was close to everything we wanted. They will hold your luggage, too. The location of this hotel is great. The cookies are awesome, I just wish they would have given me more than 1. The breakfast is great, too. Gotta love hotels that offer free breakfast.

My wife and I stayed at the Comfort Inn (Time Square West) for a week. From the first day to the last the staff were exceptionally accommodating with all our requests for information, directions and a late check out being catered for with great professionalism. We both recommend this Comfort Inn for the following reasons.

1) Very economical for its location
-it is within walking distance of the majority of broadway shows,
-the Hudson River with its great parks and walk ways.
-It is 100 metres from an entrance to the subway for 42nd street
- There is a wash and fold laundry right next door at 90c per lb or on 9th Ave between 44th and 47 th (100-150metres) away there is a coin op laundry
-There are a great many eating places of all description and costs. There is a nice little Thai restaurant two doors up that has a $16.45 three course meal which is great and then there is the Gallo Nero for Italian (On 44th & 9th Ave)
- In other words it is very convenient

2) The rooms and bathrooms are small but only using the room to shower and sleep, the room was adequate. We had a king bed which had a choice of hard or soft pillows and was very comfortable. The rooms and the general environment of the Inn was clean and pleasant.

3) The breakfast room is small so get there between 06.30 and 08.30 because after that it gets very crowded though there was a constant turn over of seats. The Breakfast food itself is ok with a selection of cereals, yogurts, coffee, tea, breads, muffins, bagels (These at times were somewhat stale). The only poor part of breakfast was the cooked breakfast which was not the most nutritional being sausages, bacon and eggs cooked in a bag.

If you don't want to spend too much money, have a convenient place to stay which is comfortable, clean and a reasonably good breakfast you can't go past this Comfort Inn.

A Comfort Inn just off of Times Square? Yes, indeed and a surprising bargain for the area. Affordable digs in one of NYC's prime destinations. Rooms are roomy by Manhattan standards, clean and well appointed. Prices are competitive and include a breakfast buffet served in the lobby. Staff are friendly and efficient despite the constant press of visitors coming and going to nearby attractions. Recommended. We'd return here again.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less street noise. Breakfast buffet is popular and may be crowded.

This is the most price worthy hotel I have ever stayed at. We payed just 2/3 of the price for all similar stared hotels in NY and got an excellent stay.

FIrst of all the location is great. Two blocks from Broadway and Times Square and on the corner of the block you have the subway. All blue, red, yellow, purple and S-line goes thru 42nd/Times Square.

Breakfast was included, not great but not bad either (don't look for fibers cause it's carbs and fat you get). Small eating area. Some reviews says that you have to stand to eat but we sat down all of the six mornings we were there.

Our room was cleaned every day and it was mostly well done. The room was not huge but not mini either. We could easily fit three persons with luggage and shopping bags in there. You have two different kind of pillows to choose from and the bed were really comfortable. The air conditioner was terrible loud and that impacted our sleep a bit.

Staff is really helpful and friendly!

Overall we had a great stay!

There is rooms in the basement by the way, I would try to avoid these.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on 200 and upwards. The 100 rooms are in the basement and next to the reception/br...
