We're east coast maritimers, I'd say the beautiful classic schooner, the crew and the time we spent on sailing around the Manhattan are the most worthwhile decision we made when we planned our big apple trip. We appreciate the awesome service from the crew, they're helpful, friendly and skilled. We enjoyed every moment on board. The complimentary cold beer made it even better! It was one of the highlights of our family vacation with our little 2 year old boy!
Thanks again for the crew carried the stroller on and off the boat without asking. They arranged a special seating for my son, he got exciting great view by just sitting next to the Captain! All in all, all my family had a great time, this is the only sightseeing tour in our vacation that we couldn't ask for more. We absolutely will come back again when next time visit NYC!

Even though that's how it is showed on the picture in the New York Pass guide - so you get almost the same view as from any other boat or ferry. This may be a great cruise, if you are a large group and you hire the boat for an evening, but I don't see the point of the afternoon (2:45) cruise, if you are a solo traveller or a small family. The crew do not entertain you in any way, it is quite expensive and you have to still pay for any drinks. They weren't able to help a man waiting for a trip, who was in a desperate need for water. And you don't even sail, you spend most of the time "make-believe sailing", as they put it.

Its a sailing boat, Its goes not very far, takes forever, there is nothing interesting happens, no commentary, nothing, Crew treat you like you are interrupting a social outing for them, Horrifically inept and unorganized compared to everything else we did in NYC and no charm from the company, Much preferred another operator. Actually circled the harbour entrance to eek out the journey time to 1hr 30, Atmosphere was terrible.

They don't tell you anything about what you are seeing. You just slowly sail out to the Statue of Liberty and slowly float back. I guess if you want to spend 2+ hours drinking $6 Stella, Corona, or Yellowtail it's worth your time. Oh I guess one of the crew did give some Austrian tourists a lecture on how to tip in America. There are not a whole lot of comfortable seats either. I sat on a lifejacket box that had a wood trim that sticks up and digs into your hamstings the whole time. There are some padded benches in the middle of the boat, but they fit maybe 8 people if you really squish together.

Fabulous way to experience one part of NYC on the Hudson River. You will see the Statue of Liberty with lots of photo opportunities. Depending on which side you sit on the boat the New York skyline looks amazing too. A beautiful sail to enjoy the city. I was on the 12:30-2:00 sail time on a beautiful sunny October day.
