I booked this on a quick business trip to NY - not really chosen by location, more by price and reviews. It certainly lived up to good reviews - on arrival check-in was quick, despite it being evening rush. The room was quiet, very newly renovated (new paint smell still!) with new fittings and great big TV, and certainly spacious enough. No bath in the bathroom, but a nice shower, which is adequate for business travel.

My stay also included a complimentary breakfast, which was a nice spread (including egg, bacon, sausage and all the other small breakfast items). There was also a complimentary afternoon drink, which I didn't hit but sounded nice.

Location is great for tourists and business people. It's close to the 1-9 subway, as well as NRQW towards Brooklyn - you can get anywhere from here really quickly. Didn't really spend time at Times Square, but if a tourist, this hotel is really close to the excitement and lights. Plenty of dining options around too, from basic street food to high end restaurants.

Struggling to find a negative point - I guess I could mention that the hallway carpets needed a bit of a vacuum, and that it was a bit noisy, but hey, it's a high traffic place and was in good condition all things considered.

Not a lot of interaction with staff, but my limited interaction showed that they were very friendly.

All in all, I would certainly go back or recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I asked for a quiet room, and got one at the back of the building. Not a great view, but certainly very quiet.

Think of this hotel and we think of lifts! 3 lifts (elevators) for 32 floors and you often wait 5-10 mins (yes really!) the staff get in and out for one floor trips and its all pretty frustrating. But the location is 2 blocks from Times Square (why we chose it), the rooms great, comfortable and everything you want including full size fridge and cooker in the kitchenette and much more good than bad about it.

The location was great, close to Times Square and some nice restaurants nearby. Also real close walk to the Subway. I spent a lot of time looking for the best value and I found the price was great for Times Square. Service was excellent, the Breakfast was also decent. Room was beautiful the nicest one I've stayed in. It was not large, but not tiny, plenty of space for a couple. Had a Kitchen with full dining utensils, MW, Stovetop, dishwasher and Full size fridge. I was asked if preferred a high floor or low floor and I chose a high floor. Beautiful view of Empire State Building, but one disadvantage was long waits for an Elevator.

Room Tip: South side up high will have the Empire State Building view

Would have been an excellent rating but got off to a dodgy start when concierge required several requests to provide info about hotel car. As a tip to others, I was quoted $135 but it turned out a suv was available for $104 - a substantial saving. Hotel is very good, well equipped and centrally located. Clean, comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. Jamie asked for a credit, so here it is!!
