This church is made of real solid stones. The acoustics are incredible. They have a boy Choir parallel to the one in Westminster Abbey in London, and in fact the St. Thomas Boy Choir has been invited to sing in London. You must try and cat them sing. The voices are angelic.

Whilst walking around in New York taking in the sights we stumbled across this church.

It is amazing and well worth a visit if you like architecture.

Come here to seek piece and quiet from the crazy NYC streets. The church is spectacular and offers solitude from the crowds.

We didn't go inside St. Thomas' Church, we stumbled across it leaving The Rockerfella Centre, however, to see this beautiful church with stunning architecture amongst all the sky rise buildings was a delight to see. I can only imagine what it would look like at night, lit up

Even if you just go in to see the stained glass windows, sculptures, soaring and intricate carved wall behind the altar, and their shiny new organ, you will be awed by the interior atmosphere of this majestic structure, suffused with the prayers of thousands. In the front on the right on the stone wall is a small sculpture of Christ crucified, presented in memoriam of those who dies on 9/11.. Beneath it is a profoundly moving quote from Queen Elizabeth II: "Grief is the price we pay for love." Its truth made me cry.
