This restaurant is located in the fashionable Bowery district, absolutely fantastic interior and decoration, feels cozy and comfortable. Unfortunately the service we experienced was cool, distant and close to unfriendly. Also, for a decorated chef like Daniel Bouloud the food didn't get anywhere close to expectation. We had a mix of brunch/lunch, the Boulangiere Basket and jams were great, but clearly this is not what we came for. The burgers were average, small portions and not close to as tasty and creative as much cheaper places would offer, the salmon was boring and the Amish chicken tasteless. The desserts were brilliant though -- but very much overpriced. Overall, not a place to come back, there are other restaurants of equal or even better reputation, more value for money and simply better food.
