“Great neighborhood with a lot of heart.”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

This is one of my favorite neighborhood.s in NYC.
Always bustling, beautiful tree lined streets, smiling people and great little shops and restaurants. This place feels like a neighborhood even with some big name chains on the corners. Very diverse people live here in harmony.

“Great food shopping and crowds”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

I come here usually for work purposes, expensive zone to live in but has good crowd and great shops. Waldos pizza is to die for in Chelsea.

“Chelsea Market a must see”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

Had not seen this on my previous visit, so it was fantastic to see and experience. Go hungry and taste all the delicious delicacies in the market.

“Cool neighborhood. Lots of art. Lots of food”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

This former industrial and warehouse area near the docks has become a center for contmporary art, high-tech startup businesses, an excellent indoor market, the High Line park on a disused freight railroad line, and then the inevitable chic restaurants that go with the avant garde.

“Industrial chic, arty and fun, above and beyond trendy, and great eats”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Of course the High Line is the latest draw to Chelsea and I "Highly" recommend it, but because this is such an increasingly trendy, arty neighborhood, it's really worth a look around no matter how close to the ground you may be. We also discovered a restaurant called The Park (a play on words, since it actually used to be a parking garage) located at 118 10th Ave, which is complete with an active bird atrium (they come and go as they please, but rest assured that they will not "go" right on you or in your food, thank goodness) and garden room with a ceiling made of mossy green plants. The food is excellent and while the service can be a little wonky at times (both times we went, actually), we had an excellent waiter and manager the second time that more than made up for it. Odd that Tripadvisor does not have this restaurant listed!
