Good central position for shopping etc and a pleasant walk to Times square North and financial district, Brooklyn Bridge / ferry to SOL to South
Business hotel with small lobby but very friendly staff. I agree with other reviews that long wait to check in.
Get room on high floor (at a cost) but the views are amazing.
Restaurant OK if you like Japanese food. Good local restaurants (Italian - Savore excellent) a few minutes walk.
Breakfast crowded in the week with business people blocking tables over a "cup of coffee" most days we were there. Quality and variety of food very good.
I would recommend this hotel but it comes at a cost.

Room Tip: High floor

Stayed at Trump SoHo recently with my husband and right from the moment we stepped out of the taxi, the service we received from all staff was fantastic. When we checked in we were upgraded to a suite which was amazing. It was soooo spacious, great decor & amazing city views. While we were waiting for a taxi to get to our dinner booking, the staff organised for the hotel car to get us there in style. The day before we left the hotel to head home, a lady from guest services rang us to enquire if we needed any assistance with travel arrangements or anything else we may need. You were made to feel very special. Also ,location to the shops & restaurants/bars was ideal. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Stayed at the Trump Soho for a weekend girl's getaway last fall. The rooms were beautiful and impeccably clean, everything you'd expect from the Trump name. The pool deck is fabulous, lots of seating and great views. Location is perfect, easy access to any areas of Manhattan. Can't wait for my next visit to NYC, I'll definitely be staying at the Trump SoHo again.

We grabbed a special anniversary rate at the Trump Soho for a long weekend and really enjoyed our stay. We had a one bedroom 1.5 bath suite on an upper floor with a jaw dropping view of the Hudson and all its activities. The room was relatively spacious for New York and is well located for shopping expeditions to Soho and visits to NYU. The primary bathroom has wonderful views as well. All the staff were accommodating and helpful and the concierge has a good list of zippy restaurants. The Kardashians were staying in the hotel at the same time, so for one night the paparazzi crowd were a bit much. Ate at the Japanese restaurant in the hotel and really liked it.

Room Tip: Try to get a high up room. The hotel is near the Holland tunnel entrance and street noise is contin...

We stayed here as a couple for a 4 night break and were not disappointed with regard location ,facilities and service.
As many other reviewers have said-you can walk to virtually everywhere from this hotel in SoHo but you need to have a very good pair of shoes and stamina as the distances can mount up.
We were blessed with wonderful warm but not humid temperatures and al fresco dining was coming into its own.
The hotel is basically geared up for business people so is buzzing with such clientele during the week and at the weekend the tourists are the main clients. As a result in the week you can find yourself struggling to find a table for breakfast as many meetings go on over coffee and breakfast and they will monopolise a table for a couple of hours. So... get up early to beat the rush.
Breakfast (continental) includes standard hot breakfast and if you want anything cooked to order then this will be charged for(including an expresso etc which is not included in the rate and the standard coffee was pretty weak and tasteless).
We found the food well prepared and ample for most people's needs to be honest. The service was efficient and tables cleared promptly.
The rooms are lovely and we were on a 30th wedding anniversary trip so were very kindly upgraded to a 1 bed suite on the 39th floor-very generous of the management and much appreciated as the views were fantastic day and night . As we were so high we slept with the curtains open and watched the night lights and the sunset at night.
The area has some lovely restaurants and on Spring Street there is some good shopping(not the usual fare) although we found this out too late having headed north and south instead.
We would recommend this hotel but it is expensive and designed to attract professional business types so lacks any warm and cosy atmosphere if that is what you prefer. Check-in can be very slow as mentioned by others but they are attentive and courteous when you finally get to the front desk

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days in August 2012. I was absolutely blown away. This is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in my life. From the moment you walk in the door, everything is very chic and upscale and you are treated with the softest gloves. I think Donald Trump has done an excellent job with this hotel and am proud to say I stayed here. Now, it is pricy. No doubt about it. But then again, this is New York City. So, be prepared to shell out some dough. That is what you pay for luxury. Excellent room. The softest bed I have ever slept in. Decent view. There are rooms with much better views, but they are also much more expensive. Everything screams attention to detail. Nothing has been overlooked. I highly recommend this hotel if you can afford it!

Room Tip: It's a trump hotel. All the rooms are good!

With a son at NYU, we have found the Trump Soho to be our base when visiting NYC. It is the best hotel in lower Manhattan (and clearly one of the best hotels in New York), with fabulous, modern, airy rooms with terrific views and great amenities (bathroom products, great wine in the minibar, and great coffee). Just a few blocks from Hudson Park with great runs and walks along the West Side Highway to Battery Park and all of the great shopping and restaurants in Soho and the Village, it is a perfect location. The doormen (and front desk staff) are particularly terrific, helpful and friendly, and can get a car or cab at any hour of the night. While it isn't cheap, you get a better room and a more "hip" experience compared to NYC's other great hotels (The Peninsula, St Regis, Sherry Netherland, etc.). We just keep coming back.

Room Tip: The high floors cost more but the views are amazing; ask for a room facing west, north, or south.
