This is my favorite place in NYC. The front desk and entire Gansevoort team greets us and makes us feel at home every time we stay at the hotel. Sanam is our absolute favorite! Also, the spa and lounge on top of the hotel are first-rate.

I recently stayed at this trendy hotel for one night. The service and restaurant were great! The rooms were a little dated, but not a big deal. There are many eating options right outside the hotel. Overall, I definitely recommend it.

I recently stayed at this hotel with a girlfriend. Apart from the very central location, within walking distance of Grand Central Station, Times and Union Squares, it is almost next to a metro station with very good connections to the rest of town.
The rooms were very spacious which is unusual in New York, with the most comfortable beds.

I must add that we found ALL the staff extrememly helpful, whatever strange requests we made, but the best part was swimming in the rooftop pool, looking out to the Empire State Building - priceless

Dear GMarks,

Thank you for your lovely review. We're glad you're a fan of our plush feather-top beds! Getting a good night's rest can make all the difference. We're thrilled you took advantage of our rooftop pool glistening underneath the striking Empire State Building. Perhaps next time, you and your girlfriend would also like to indulge in a couple's massage at the renowned Exhale Spa. We look forward to making new memories with you again soon.

My wife and I recently stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed every aspect of our experience! In planning, the concierge team, Clancy and Abrahm, were excellent in offering restaurant recommendations, getting us reservations and checking to ensure all other aspects of our trip were all set! Upon arriving, we were greeted with sharp, courteous staff, from the front door to the front desk! The room was perfect, elegant, large and immaculate! In room services, turn down, slippers, sundries..all over the top!! We can't wait to get back to the Gansevoort Park Avenue!

Room Tip: I would recommend the grand deluxe..spacious and great views!!

We booked a room with 2 beds but when we got to the hotel they said they'd put us into 2 rooms which was wonderful. They gave us beautiful rooms. However half an hour later having unpacked and settled in they said they'd made a mistake and we'd have to move to a 2 bedded room. We were not best pleased. The room they moved us to was inferior to the rooms we'd initially been allocated. Although they compensated us by giving us complimentary breakfast for the 5 days that we were there we were still annoyed and felt that they should have let us have our 2 separate rooms. The hotel is well located.

Six days of Joy! Best place to stay for people who are very picky! Hotel was very clean, and the restaurant food, servers/helpers are excellent! Furthermore, the help extended by the concierge named "Clancey" is exceptionablly noteworthy. He had wonderful suggestions that made our celebrating my grandson's 10th birthday very memorable. His restaurant selection for a birthday dinner and his assistance in helping to provide a surprise birthday cake delivery to the hotel for my grandson has touched our hearts forever. He was professional, friendly, and seemed to be honestlyconcerned about our stay, comfort and happiness. The hotel's location is absolutely perfect and minutes from many attractions, etc. We hope to always stay at the Gansevoort when we return to NYC.

Room Tip: Park Avenue side seem to have the best views...higher floors are very nice!

Very Beautiful Hotel especially for couples. Very nice and friendly staff, always ready to help with a smile. Very clean and well decorated rooms. We stayed at the Grand Deluxe room and the room size was very spacious with plenty of space. Well decorated with modern and luxurious colors and furniture. Thumbs up for the sensual photos, it enhances the atmosphere. Not very suited for families and small children so. It was very cold so we could not enjoy the pool. Roof bar and longe are very nice. Location is very good as well, 3 blocks from teh Empire State building and close to Macy's and the lower midtown area.

Room Tip: Grand Deluxe rooms are a bit more expensive but the size of the room, bathroom and the small balcony...

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your wonderful review. We're pleased that you enjoyed your spacious room accommodations and our style aesthetics, You're right, the sensual photos are not quite family-oriented, however they flip over to reveal beautiful flowers upon guest requests. It's a shame you didn't get to try out our heated rooftop pool, but that just leaves more to explore for next time. Since you're a fan of our location, our concierge team will be happy to point out local eateries and cultural destinations to visit on your next trip! We hope to see you again soon.
