An elegant place with a relaxed atmosphere on Columbus Circle with a lovely view to Central Park. I was there for lunch which had a business lunch offer of one starter and one main at 45$. I started with the seared mackerel and had the strozzapreti with crab and sea urchin. Both were excellent, artfully done and beautifully presented. One of the best
Italian dinners I ever had.

We dined at Marea to celebrate a special birthday. We had heard wonderful things about the restaurant and we were not disappointed. Our meal was delicious. The menu choices are basically Italian seafood, although there a few meat entrees. We chose the four course price fixed dinner which was pricey but well worth it. The service was extremely attentive but not obtrusive. The decor was well appointed but not stuffy. We highly recommend Marea.

“A wonderful dining experience”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

Had lunch at Marea with friends. The restaurant is located just off Columbus Circle south of Central Park. The furnishings are modern and elegant. The restaurant was crowded but we were not hurried, the service was efficient and appropriate.

The food was excellent, the menu provided a large number of varied choices. The dishes are as pleasant to the eye as they are to the palate. Everyone in our party was pleased with their selections. We had an excellent bottle of wine that was modestly priced. I highly recommend Marea.
