“Lots of alternative options apart from the big musicals!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

I have to preface this review by stating that I am not a fan of musicals, but was hoping to see The Book of Mormon as an alternative to the traditional musical. No tickets to be had ( should have booked from Australia !) unfortunately, so looked for something else...
Went to the TKTS counter under the red stairs in Times Square and got 1/2 price tickets to Cat on a Hot Tin Roof ( with Scarlett Johansson ) - excellent!!
You can save big bucks if you go to a matinee session and/or attend one of the preview shows before the official season opens!
Cool to be part of the theatre crowd and feel that buzz - more locals, less tourists!

“There's nothing like a live performance!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

My husband and I really love movies and go quite often, but there is nothing like seeing a brilliant stage performance, and this is the place for the best ones. It's just amazing what they can do with staging, sets, costumes, and amazing performers. We've had more memorable experiences at the Broadway theaters than we can count.

“Motown The Musical”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

We saw this show on Friday, March 15, 2013, this is Motown at its best. I grew up with the Motown sound. We knew all the songs, the entire audience was singing along. It was packed, with young teenagers, (who weren't even around when this music came out) to great grandparents. The costumes, the dancing, the singing, and the energy, was all that. Will be back in June.
