We were in NYC the week before Sandy! We thought this attraction would take a couple hours. We were there until it closed at 5 PM! Where can you see so much in one place. Air craft carrier complete with all sorts of jets, planes , helicopters. Excellent interactive museum, films, exhibits. Then the Concorde, submarine and space shuttle. It reminds us of what an incredible nation we live in. We paid extra to go in the Concorde. Well worth it. We even ate lunch at the food vendor on site. It was one of the best experiences I have had in some time. Highly recommend.

I had been in NYC many many times and to be honest I never considered to visit this museum thinking that it won't be interesting. I love art museums, musicals and shopping .
When my 5 years old son wanted to see Intrepid, I couldn't say No and we visited.
It was AMAZING. I can visit it again and again. Especially we liked to see the inside of the submarine . Space shuttle was not interested at all since you can't go into that. In Orlando we can get into thy and see inside . But if you are ok. With just seeing the space shuttle from outside . It looks great also. So don't miss it .
We paid the regular fee and when we came back to hotel, noticed that there are 20% off coupon. So check you hotel. Also when you buy online it is cheaper and you dont have to wait on the line to buy tickets...

This attraction was fab , the staff were very knowledgeable on the history of this ship , even spoke to a Korea war veteran who served on the ship , If you are interested in WW2 history then this is the place to go , A must see attraction, also on the flight deck was the space shuttle Enterprise this also well worth a visit to see some space history, Then on to the USS Growler a cold war submarine which was brill . I recommend this attraction highly .

It's neat to see all the aircraft and how someone in the navy lives on a boat. You see everything from the mess hall to where the crew sleeps. The only problem was that in order to see the submarine, you had to wait in line forever.
