Disregard the negative reviews of this place, I was very wary when I checked in because of what has been said, but now I feel misled because of the pleasant experiences I had at this hotel. The rooms were clean and very well appointed, and I got way more hotel than I expected for the price I paid. Everything was clean, and I had a lot of room by comparison to other NYC hotels. My only complaint was that it took me a long time to find the HD TV channels, and an updated channel list would have been nice.

By far the worse hotel we have ever been to!!! The heater didnt work, no cable t.v., only an old 12 inch screen, all channels were fuzzy, the comment before us is all lies, the lamp was even broken, cheap old blankets, carpet nasty, elevator nasty, couldnt understand the front desk clerk that barely spoke english, and the phone next to the bed didnt work. Only the phone on the bathroom wall worked. We prepaid for a single queen, and when we got there all they had was a double twin room. When we originally arrived, the front desk clerk and concierge were argueing because the front desk clerk was goofing off in the back, " you're not my boss" is all we heard for the first 10 minutes we stood there. This is not a reflection from other Days Inns we have been to. This is the only one that has been bad. This hotel is just Terrible!!!

This was our 1st stay at the days hotel, as we arrived early the rooms are not ready untill 3pm, we were able to leave our bags with Ronald the concierge, who was a gem. We came back from central park(2 blocks away), The hotel had upgraded our room at no extra cost (we didnt ask). The room was brilliant, yes they are renovating the rooms,we had one that had been finnished to a high standard, tea and coffe maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, flat screen TV, alarm clock radio with docking station, air con(a must) plenty of electric sockets more than most hotels. The bathroom was clean with a good shower, there was a full selection of travel size toiletries toothbrush and razor. The staff were very helpfull and friendly, they also have a desk at the hotel were you can book all trips and shows, also a shuttle for the airport. There were loads of places to eat near the hotel and these are recomended as the hotel does not have a restaurant,The best place was called The Cafe on Broadway, We had a fantastic stay and plan to go back to the same hotel. This is a lovely hotel and will be even better when all the rooms have been renovated. The hotel does not deserve some of the negative comments given,we stayed in a hotel off Times Square That was a lot more expensive and not as good. You dont always get what you pay for sometimes as in this case you get that little bit more than you expected for a $ rated room. Well done Days Inn Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor rooms, you wont be disapointed

This hotel is in an ideal location - can't beat it. unfortunately, it has consistently bad service and puny, grimy accommodations where hot water doesn't work and pressure is low, faulty heating/ac and a front desk staff that could really care less about your comfort or that you've already paid for the room that doesn't have all services working. You get an eye roll and they look behind you at the next person line. My family and I have tried it 3 times in the past few years and each visit gets worse. Reserve at own risk.

Room Tip: Very inconsistent room quality. Recommend that as soon as you get to your room, make sure all servic...

This was our 2nd stay, the first being about a year ago. The location is very convenient, close to family we were visiting. I had asked for a room like we had last year on one of the renovated upper floors but none was available. We had a room on the 9th floor which was old looking but turned out to be ok. The bed was comfortable, A/C fairly quiet, and bathroom clean and presentable. Hot water took some time to come up but once it did, it stayed hot.

For NYC the hotel is a decent value compared to the much higher costs of better hotels. But there are trade-offs you should be aware of. The hotel is run down looking. Hall carpet torn here and there, past water leaks evident, walls heavily scuffed and patched up in places. TV had just a few over the air channels with grainy pictures. Service is spotty: In our 4 day stay we always had a different assortment and number of towel types each day. We made do with that but one day we only got 2 bath towels, no hand towels or washcloths. We had to ask for them - twice - but did get them eventually.

Again, the room itself was clean and comfortable and a considerable savings over other NYC hotels. Just know that you are not getting champagne on a beer budget and you'll be fine.

I got a nice hotel room on the top floor,it was very tidy and big enough. The personal was friendly and helpful, the subway station was very near the hotel. Unfortunately there was no restaurant in the hotel, but opposite of it was a cafe, where had my early breakfast.

Room Tip: Request higher floors, less noisy and in better condition.

Very nice hotel with regards to the price versus the location. Staff is friendly and can help with the luggage storage as well as arranging the transport etc. Easily accesssible - few meters away from the public transport.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view, if it matters for you.
