“Reverence for Life”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

This restaurant is an experience like no other. I recommend you go to yoga first so you are calm enough to enter. We sat at the bar - super minimalist - and watched the dishes being plated. OMMMMMM - followed by YUMMMM. Great sake pairings. This is food elevated to another level - each morsel was intentionally made and therefore - intentionally eaten. As a plant based eater this restaurant was like finding the food holy grail.

“Amazing dining experience”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

The perfect place for vegetarians and even non vegetarians. You can choose between a 4 course or 8 course meal. Everything was delicious and unique. If you can sit upstairs in the window it is a great spot to also watch the people walking by on the street. Each course comes out in a delicate manner and the presentation is spectacular. If you want to try Japanese food in a different style this is the place to check out.

“Great tasting menus”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

One of the best veg restaurants I've tried anywhere - up there with Millennium in San Francisco when it was at its best, and a step or more above most of its competition in NYC. This is expensive and delicately flavored food - you need to be ready to linger and enjoy.

Service is fastidious, but friendly - their fussiness about appearances is an aesthetic choice, not hauteur.

“Amazing ingredients exquisitely prepared and presented”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

As soon as you walk in you feel as if you are in Japan. Beautiful aesthetic. Each of the many courses is a a surprise to behold. The presentation of the food is artful. Every morsel of food is of outstanding quality. The menus varies from month to month and this is certainly not a vegetarian restaurant where all dishes are a variation on a few themes. The only criticism is high price, but the quality is there, so if you can afford it, go for the splurge.

“Food ok, but not worth the money”
Reviewed May 27, 2014

Really looked forward to eating here. The service was excellent but the tasting menu was quite bland throughout and heavily over-priced.
