Stayed in the attached building upon our 10:45 a.m. arrival B.C. it was available. It did not disappoint. It was a larger nicely appointed and quiet even as it overlooked 46th street. The staff was very congenial (shout out to Michael at the front desk who happily carried my suitcase both up and down for me). If stairs are an issue maybe mention when phoning to book to see what they can offer you. Overall the staff were v hospitable and helpful.

Nice little place. Quaint rooms. Well located on Restaurant Row, five minute walk from Times Square and from four subways that will cover most of Manhattan with changes.

Negatives are tight small staircase, a breakfast that, while a nice gesture, just doesn’t cut it. A bathroom with problematic plumbing.

Pricing is about the same as a a 3 to 3.5 chain hotel, which would be a better option if you couldn’t deal with the negatives.

We could, so were quite happy with stay.

We had a front room in the adjacent townhouse, so only metres away from the bar attached to the hotel - we experienced no noise issues that some have referred to. Some noise from the street but that’s what you get for the location.

Would probably return.

We only stayed one night, but we were pleased with everything! The room was very clean and provided plenty of space for us. We were given a discount when we called and booked directly AND we received a free upgrade to a King room when we checked in. Emily and Monica were so personable and helpful! We arrived early so they held our bags and called us when the room was ready. They also held our bags after we checked out since our flight was much later in the evening. The continental breakfast was nice and convenient to get our day started! The going gentleman that worked the breakfast was very kind, as well. Plenty of smiles from this staff! :-) The hotel is close to good food, multiple theatres, subway station, shopping and Times Square! You can’t go staying in cute, quaint, hidden gem.

Great first impressions, arrived slightly earlier than the normal check in time. The kind receptionist went straight away to check if our room was available and to our luck it was. Very grateful after a long flight from the UK.

Location: Fantastic location, within a 5 minute walk to Times Square. If using the Hop on Hop off Bus, the stop is not far from the hotel at all.

Facilities: Room was on the small side (but not unusual for New York) lovely comfortable bed. Bathroom was good nice large shower, although the hot water was a little slow to come through. The room also had a small kitchenette with coffee machine and a fridge. Some previous reviews mentioned they could ear noise from the street, don't get me wrong you can hear it but it certainly didn't keep us awake at night.

Breakfast: simple but effective, continental breakfast compromising of bagels, toast, yoghurts, pastries etc. Started the day right.

Overall this was a great hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent hotel in the city. Would stay here again.

We had a plesant stay at French Q. The place is near Time S in the middle of everything.
The room we had did serve us more then well even that we didn’t really learned how the TV controll worked... but that was just a minor thing.
Breakfast at FQ was good and the personell was Nice and helpfull.
We will for sure visit the place again.
