“Fabulous place to stay in NYC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

A great hotel that is close to everything. We had the good fortune to be upgraded to à larger room at no extra cost. On restaurant row there are mana places to eat at different prices. In a City where hotel rooms can be pricey, the French Quarter is a great buy.

Rooms consistent with 4star hotel, very large, clean, well maintained. Little kitchen with fridge and k-cup coffee maker. Beds and showers are great. Property otherwise feels like a B&B with omnipresent manager and excellent service. Breakfasts are croissants and coffee, easy and enough, no fuss. The room elevators make a stop right smack in the middle of pub downstairs very convenient. Location is fine although 10 minutes to closest subway stop. The do have a strict house policy forbidding kids under 18 leaving premises alone, I guess because its a short half block west to 9th where Manhattan starts getting dodgy. All in all I will recommend to visiting friends.

there were so many choices so i checked out trip advisor for some ideas. the reviews were spot on. this is a gem of a place. i traveled with my teenage daughter. 2 blocks from the hustle and bustle (and noise) of times square. convenient to the shows (we walked to and from the 2 that we went to), convenient to the subway. we walked to the empire state building and to central park. we had a 2nd floor roomy room. no problem with noise that others have mentioned. bed and pillows were super comfy. everyone on the staff was so nice from the front desk to the guys who ran breakfast. loved the in-room keurig with teas, coffee and hot cocoa. lots of choices for the continental breakfast - bagels, toast, croissants, muffins, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, juice. we'll definitely stay here again!

The last Big East tourney and we stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Great location near many great restaurants and taverns! Hotel is small only 5 floors so you can use stairs instead of waiting for the elevator. Attached to Bourbon St Grill and the continental breakfast was great! Bagels yogurt cereal etc. more than coffee tea and toast. Rooms are not huge but beds were comfy and fridge in room large enough for Carmine's leftovers for the next day! Colin at the front desk was like our new best friend as well as the bartenders next door.. Short walk to Times Square. Overall would stay again!

The French Quarters is such an amazing place to enjoy a family stay and I am sorry it took me that long to write about it!
Excellent location, very enjoyable atmosphere, clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated rooms.
The perfect hotel manager and staff. They were all always so friendly, answered all the questions, helped us to find interesting locations to visit and also they made everything and beyond to help us feel like at home!
Internet is free all over the hotel.
We booked on a B&B basis and may be breakfast is not the one you have in mind but overall average.
Very close to Time Square and theaters, easy to walk everywhere.
The bar downstairs was a must! Good music, great food, fun!

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay and would definitely return.

Mille Grazie to Mr Colin and you all guys, you did a terrific job!

What a lovely place to stay! Although the weather this past St. Patrick's day was cold and snowy the French Quarters was warm and inviting.I just adore the location, close to Times Square but far way from the maddening crowd. The Hell's kitchen area is one of NYC best kept secrets. More neighborhood that touristy. I was most impressed with the house cleaning staff. Our room was cleaned and straightened up everyday. For my friends and I it was a bonus that we could choose to take the elevator to the lobby or directly to the Bourbon Street bar! The surrounding area is filled with numerous late night diners and very elegant restaurants if one is looking for a special dinner.
