We stayed four nights at Radio City Apartments and were very happy we choose to stay here. We booked a Studio Suite but were upgraded to a One Bedroom Suite which was a nice surprise. Having the extra room was great and we felt the suite was a good size for a small family, and for the two of us it was more than adequate and probably bigger than any other hotel room we would have been able to afford in the city. The location can't be beat - we walked every where and there were many restaurants and shops nearby. Food Emporium was only a few short blocks away and came in handy since we had our own kitchen. We did eat dinner one night at the Italian restaurant next door and enjoyed it very much. The remodel did not affect us at all, and other than the usual noise that you'd find in any big city, it wasn't an issue. The employees were all very pleasant, helpful with directions and answering all our questions. The housekeeping staff kept our suite spotless.

Room Tip: Choose a higher floor to avoid street noise.

This hotel is in a great location. We stayed there in September and would definitly return on our next visit. They are doing renovations at the moment but it certainly didn't affect us. Having the kitchenette is so handy. Nice to have a relaxed brekkie before leaving for the day. The rooms themselves are clean and tidy and remarkably spacious for New York. The staff are lovely and friendly. The nearest subway station is approx. 20feet from the front door. If you are looking for a hotel that is in a perfect location for Sightseeing/Theatre going, then this is it. I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

My wife and I are retired and live in California, our neighbor who is from NY recommended Radio City Apartments. We stayed 8 nights and had a wonderful time. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Perfect location. Building and furniture are old, but so am I. Great restuarants nearby. Subway and Bus service steps away. (Do use the mass transit, simple, safe, and cheapest way to travel in NYC)

If we ever go back to NYC we will stay at Radio City Apartments!

This was my 4th stay at the Radio City Apartments over the last 7 or 8 years. I really love the place, its location is brilliant for tourists, literally a minute to Times Square, and it feels like a home away from home with the kitchen and living room. There were four of us staying for 9 nights and we booked a one bedroom apartment with two double beds and booked an extra rollaway bed, so that with the sofa bed, each of us had their own bed each night.

Their rooms are not particularly modern, but they are spotlessly clean and big for New York standards. The bedroom had two large comfy double-beds in them, as well as a chest of drawers, a bedside table with drawers and somewhere to hang up dresses and shirts etc. The room wasn’t massive but had enough space for 4 suitcases and all our things, and I’ve stayed in smaller double rooms in NYC that didn’t have a massive living room attached to it. The living room was really big, it had a sofa bed in it, a table with 3 or 4 chairs, an armchair and a small coffee table. There was enough space in the room for us to have a rollaway bed added to the room, as well as leaving the sofa bed open the whole time and we didn’t feel cramped.
The kitchenette came with a stove, a microwave and a large fridge-freezer, which meant we could bring drinks and small snacks back to the room and keep them cool. There was a kettle that you boil on the stove. There were glasses, mugs, cutlery and crockery, everything you need on holiday really.
The bathroom isn’t massive, but again, clean with masses of towels and there were plenty of toiletries, too should you have forgotten your shower gel or shampoo. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom. The aircon is a bit load but works well and we were on the 11th floor where we could see bits of Times Square from our window. There were flatscreen TVs in both the bedroom and the living room with plenty of channels, even though we hardly used them. There is also free wifi, which worked fine with 4 smartphones and 3 iPads using it at the same time.

The staff at reception was always welcoming and the maids were thorough. The hairdryer stopped working one morning and they sent someone up to check and it was replaced very quickly. They are currently remodelling the entrance to the hotel, but it didn’t disturb our stay. The hotel has two lifts which are a bit slow, but it wasn’t a problem.

Times Square is literally just around the corner, there is a nice deli right next door and Magnolia’s bakery is just half a block away, which meant I visited it a few times more than I usually would have.

I can’t recommend this place enough, it’s affordable, clean and at a great location.

The hotel was having renovations when we were there but it wasn't a problem. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is so central. In less than a minute from leaving the front door you are in the middle of Times Square. Great place to stay.

This hotel seemed expensive until I looked at other options in central Manhattan - turns out it was really good value if that's where you want to be located! The main draw for us was the location. It is literally a few minutes walk from Times Square and there are hundreds of great bars and restaurants within walking distance. We were worried that it might be noisy but we got a room facing the back and weren't bothered by street noise at all.

The room was basic but very clean and had all the facilities we needed, including free wi fi. The staff were very helpful too.

I'd stay there again if I went back to New York.

My family overall had a great trip to New York. The hotel is a little hidden gem in the heart of all the action. It is right around the corner from Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Close enough for convenience, far enough away for a good rest. The subway is very close. The kitchen was stocked adequately and we took full advantage of cooking our own food. There were no extra frills but frankly you don't need them if you are enjoying NYC to its fullest. Definitely worth checking out!
