This reasonably-priced restaurant was a nice find for Saturday brunch in the theatre district.

The biggest surprise was the portion sizes and the accompaniments with our dishes.

My dining companion had Eggs Norvegian (Eggs Benedict with Salmon), and it came with a generous serving of green salad and a delectable hash brown.

I did find it a little strange that the waitress wasn't familiar with Croque Madame, which is simply a Croque Monsieur with a fried egg on top. She had to go to the kitchen to see if they could make the dish, and they were able to comply.

I have never seen such a massive Croque Madame in my life - this could have easily fed 2-3 people. It included green salad, and I ordered the pommes rissoles on the side. That was an exemplary potato dish, crisp and seasoned well.

The profiteroles dessert served 2, and was yummy - the fudge sauce was delicious and served warm.

Would definitely come back here again for another pre-theatre meal.

Stopped in with friends before a Broadway matinee. Chose it via reviews on TripAdvisor. I was not disappointed! Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Food was presented very well and was tasty. Better than most Times Square fare and worth dropping by. They also have a pre-theater Pre-fixe menu available for a reasonable price.

We stopped here for my birthday and the food was amazing, would highly recommend it. The waiter was not the friendliest but this did not spoil the evening for us, you don't go to a restaurant to talk to the waiter after all! Don't let this put you off as the food is faultless and e would definitely stop here again

Quality of the food is very high, especially for a hotel restaurant. Service is just really hit and miss, some fast and charming, some slow and rude. Get roomservice if you are staying int he Mela, or sit in the bar!

We stopped in here because it looked inviting and because it was largely empty at eight o'clock on a Friday night after we underestimated the demand at another restaurant. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise of comfortable food and a comfortable table with open-air to the sidewalk on 44th street. We found the waiter less than friendly or helpful, but we managed some good choices from the menu, highlights being a very nice veal scaloppini dish and wonderful fresh bread!! The Bouillabaisse Marseillaise was very fresh tasting, if also just a bit bland in the broth. On the other hand, the Paté de campagne was terribly dry and the toasted bread stale.

From the read of other reviews, I might come back for breakfast, but there are far too many choices for a return dinner trip.
