Reviewed May 18, 2013

My friend and I stayed here for three nights from April 29 to May 2, 2013. We loved it! We were on the 11th floor and the view was awesome especially at night with the city lights. The room was clean. The staff was courteous and helpful with any questions we had. The breakfast was okay but I think there needed to be two people working as it was quite hectic for the girl working and she had a hard time cleaning off tables. The food choices were fine for us as we did not want to eat a large breakfast anyway. The location was great as the subway was just a block away. If I would return to NYC again, no doubt, this would be my choice of hotel!

Loved this hotel!
Perfect situated in Chinatown, close to Little Italy and Brooklyn bridge.
Very nice staff in the reception (Hello Shawn, miss you!).
Okey breakfast buffet, sometimes crowdy.
Very comfortable bed!

Thank you for staying with us at the Comfort Inn Manhattan Bridge. We appreciate you taking the time to review our hotel. I will certainly share your comments and celebrate with Shawn. The staff certainly prides themselves in taking care of our guests. Thank you for your comments about our Breakfast. In the limited Manhattan space it does get crowded during peak hours. Prior to 8:30am is typically the best time to go to avoid the crowds. We will continue to look for ways to improve the experience to all our guests. We look forward to seeing you the next time you are in NYC.

We didn't stay for very long, but it was still a memorable place. The rooms were very clean, and the although there wasn't much space to eat breakfast, the breakfast itself was absolutely incredible. The staff were very friendly and the location was great as well. Highly recommended.

I choose this hotel due to the reviews on this site and could not have done better. The hotel is very good - the only downside might be that the eating are for breakfast is scattered over the ground floor sharing it with the lobby but they just do not have anymore room. Breakfast is good as it is part of the hotel rate. The staff were excellent and the hotel is within one block of the Grand Street Station to get the subway to town. Would recommend.

Room Tip: I choose a room with the extra upstairs space but to be honest did not need it, actually puzzled as...

We stayed here for a weekend mid April and were quite impressed. The staff were friendly, check in and check out were really quick, breakfast was decent, and the room was spotless. We were on the 10th floor and the elevator was not working one day, which was more exercising than we were anticipating after 2 bottles of wine at dinner. LOL. We loved this hotel because it was so close to the subway and in a fun location. It is steps away from one subway line, which I thought was awesome but turned out we never needed that line. It's about a 10 minute walk to another subway stop that we used many times each day with our metro passes. It's fun that it is so close to Chinatown.. we loved getting Chinese bakery for breakfast. So much cheap produce close by is a big plus, too. If you are looking for a decent, clean, well located hotel for a good price, this is a great choice.

Room Tip: The higher floors are quieter.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Comfort Manhattan Bridge. We are so happy to hear the positive comments about the staff, hotel and location. Chinatown is a fun experience with great open air markets and the subway connects you easily to anywhere you would like to go. My apologies that the elevator was not working during your stay - that is terrible. We look forward to seeing you the next time you are in NYC.

My sister and I, our respective daughters, spent 7 nights from the 20th April in a very large room with great views over Manhattan Bridge.
The check-in was a breeze. In fact, all the staff there are first class, Shawn, Johel, to mention a few (sorry, I can't remember the name of the gentleman who booked our return car, which by the way, is good value). The room and bathroom were very clean, there was plenty of thick towels. The breakfast had an excellent choice of food (bacon and egg, yoghurts, cheese, juices, waffles, cereals, fruit, etc). I don't understand people complaining about the lack of variety. This is breakfast, what do you expect, champagne and caviar?
The location is brilliant, 200 m from Grand subway station, in the heart of Chinatown, where you can eat very cheaply, and from where you can walk to Little Italy and to the south end of the Broadway where a huge variety of shops can be found.
If we come back to New York, we will for sure settle for the Comfort Inn. I doubt we could book such a great hotel at such a good rate. But what makes this hotel great is the professionalism and the friendliness of the staff.

If you prefer to sleep close to Chinatown and Little Italy Comfort Inn Manhattan Bridge is a goog deal.

It is not Midtown, it is the Bowery and it does not look so nice but if you want to get up and see Chinatown shops opening of have an real italian morning coffee in Mulberry Street this can be the place.

Hotel complimentary breakfast is included in room price an it is a good one. Room has everything you can need, iron, safe, complete bath, flat TV screen, coffee-tea making facilities...
You can get probably more comfort at this hotel than other Midtown much expensive hotels.

If it is your first time in NY maybe you can not feel so comfortable in this area.

Grand subway station is 100 m from hotel.
