Our studio room was good sized and well appointed. Service was definitely lacking. Had to request twice for things and even then, sometimes never had our request fulfilled. Most staff I encountered were barely pleasant, seemed to be just going through the motions. I would definitely try another hotel when I return to NYC.

The Hilton Club has a lot going for it, but there was something about it that made me feel it could have been better. First the good: hotel location is prime- upper mid-town, close to Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Theater District, subway lines, and shopping; staff are very friendly; check-in is on the 37th floor away from the crowds in the lobby; rooms are large- even the studios (we had a one bedroom which was very spacious- more about that later), and kept very clean; very nice breakfast buffet in the owners lounge, evening snacks and unlimited coffee, water and soft drinks all day. The not so good: you are in a mega-hotel- 44 floors and well over 1000 rooms. Elevators can be crowded, especially in the mornings when people are checking out and taking luggage with them. There was a large conference in the hotel when we were there and it let out at noon one day, and there must have been 100 people in line at the valet to retrieve cars. Also, if you need a taxi at rush hour at the hotel- forget it. Long lines in the taxi queue. I believe someone else mentioned this in their review- a tip to get a cab is to walk down a block to the Sheraton side entrance on 53rd near 7th Avenue and try to get a cab when they are dropping some one off there. We had good luck doing this a few times. In fact one of the best ways to get a cab in NY is to look for one letting a passenger off and try to grab it. There are tons of cabs in the city , but it is amazing that they all seem to be occupied. However, these observations can apply to any large hotel in Manhattan. What really gave me mixed feelings about the Hilton Club was the room itself. Yes, it was a very large one bedroom, but it had king of a cold sterile feel. One reason was that our room was dark even though we were at the end of the corridor and had two exposures. But our exposures were south and west and both windows has sun and light blocked by high rises on both sides. I was excited when I booked the room because I figured on the 37th or 38th floor there would be views. No such luck. here was also a lot of street noise even though we were on the 38th floor- soundproofing could be better. I noticed that the rooms on the North side of the hotel had more open sight lines and were much brighter, so you should request rooms on that side. My main other problem with the room, especially the living room, was that it just seemed under furnished. Just a very small table, no refrigerator, no coffee maker (although that is available in the lounge), a worn sleeper sofa and stained side chair. I also noticed that the carpeting in the hall was getting somewhat stained. And as at least one other reviewer noted the room safe did not work, there were no replacements available and it couldn't be fixed. I'm sure this made us feel somewhat uncomfortable about leaving our Ipads in the room, but nothing untoward happened during the trip. So, although the hotel has a lot going for it, it did leave me with mixed feelings. If you can get a room on the North side you will probably be happier with your stay.

Room Tip: North side rooms have a chance to have more open views.

We stayed here for 5 nights in July 2012. The Club Floor welcome was excellent, the room very comfortable and quite spacious for New York CIty. The Club breakfast was average, as was the food at evening "happy hour", but overall the guest experience was very good

We spent labor day week-end in a studio on the 37th floor at the Hilton Club. Check in was quick and efficient. The location of the hotel was excellent. Restaurants, shopping and theaters were all within walking distance. The club lounge served hot and cold appetizers in the evening. We were there on a timeshare exchange. It was a pleasant surprise to receive housekeeping services twice a day. Often timeshare stays at many locations do not receive daily complimentary housekeeping. The only negative was that the room had two of the most uncomfortable. There was ample space for a loveseat or a couple of soft lounge chairs. However we did not spend a lot of time in the room so it was not a big deal.
I would definately return.

We got a one bedroom unit in the club level (37th floor) but were disappointed that we did not get all the amenities listed on their website. The in-room safe was disabled, and there was no coffee maker inside our room. However, you can get coffee and tea in the club lounge. The bed was too soft for us. Service was just OK. The room was clean and very spacious by NY standard.

Room Tip: Don't take Rm #3723. Safe was disabled and they never bothered to fix it. Also close to Ice Mach...

I recently stayed at the Hilton Club NY, different than the hotel. There are only two floors that are for the Hilton Club,,they would be floors 37 and 38. The wonderful part about this is there is no wait for check in, as you check in on the 37th floor. The private club room features check in,,no worries, they already know you are there. Amazing! There is a private lounge in the check in area, where a traveller can sit down and enjoy the Sky Line of NYC and have various beverages and snacks to decompress. Breakfast is served in the private lounge on 37..Lovely, no hustle or bustle. Attention to detail does not go unnoticed with me, I am extremely picky. The staff is quite professional and courteous. If you find yourself in the main lobby it is a wonderful place to mingle, and I might add Anthony Hernandez the Marketing Director is quite helpful for all your needs, from luggage, to dining and very professional. The suite I stayed in was well appointed and modern..No one would complain! It is definitely worth the few extra dollars, and I plan to go back again soon.. Mr. Carlos Martino who is the Club Manager is doing an excellent job!

Room Tip: Any of the rooms on the Club floors 37 and 38 are great...It is the Club that makes all the differen...

Super location. Hilton Club checks in on 37th floor, avoiding the total zoo downstairs. Regular Hilton has 2,000 rooms and is really overwhelming and chaotic. Nice amenties. Our room was noisy next to elevator. Service is so- so. Would definitely stay here again because the location is so convenient. We could walk to plays, Times Square, shopping 3 subway stops away.
