“Excellent Music venue!”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

We traveled to New York from Delaware and the City Winery is near the Holland Tunnel so there is minimal driving in NYC. We went to see Kinky Friedman and were about 20 feet from the stage. The place is a little cramped but about what you would expect for NYC. Food was decent and wine was good. We will definitely go again if some one we want to see is performing. We ordered tickets and selected our seats on their website ,and they had our names at the door. Two hotels are very close so it is just a short walk to the place.

“Cramped, hot, you better like band”
Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

Yes, if your performer is here everything is secondary I guess. Tables are as close together at a comedy club and many seats are just lightly padded stools. I should preface this next part by saying I am a wine snob, with a nice selection in my own cellar. I can tell you the three reds I tastes were simply not drinkable if you have any sense of wine, one at $17 a glass for a small pour as a matter of fact. If you call yourself a winery serve at least decent wine.

“Great dinner in the Barrel Room”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We had dinner in the Barrel Room last week. We decided on the 5 course tasting menu with matching wines for $70. Food was great, really interesting and tasty, wines were nice. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

“Great Venue!”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

This is a small intimate venue, perfect for the bluegrass and folk acts they book. The wine was great, but the food was just okay. I would stick with their flat breads.

“Great place to catch a show and have some terrific wine”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

Went with friends to see Aztec Two-Step. Fabulous evening overall. Intimate & friendly place. Good acoustics (...once sorted out). Terrifc wine & beer selection. Somewhat limited menu, but tasty nonetheless. If you like the act that's playing, it is a tremendous place to see them. Highly recommended.
