“Tasty curry - great naan - a bit too much club atmosphere perhaps”

The food was very interesting and tasty. Most things were not that spicy and the naan was wonderfully fluffy. The decor is not very Indian like. It's a bit clubby which is ok but the music was a little much. Pretty good though. The lemon soda was good.

This is a nice restaurant with good srrvice and food. The problem is that it is dqrk, and very noisy. Dont plan on a romantic dinner or one thwt you can easily converse in. The food is good but spicy.

Although we had a couple of recommendations for good Indian restaurants in this area, the Dhaba was the busiest by far. The food was excellently spiced and delicious. Service was speedy, attentive and efficient. The meal was excellent value for money, delivered in a stylish and atmospheric setting. We would definitely return.

The food was of high quality and was fresh. The main dishes were spicy, so you may want to ask that the heat level be toned down. Be aware that the place is busy and noisy; the atmosphere is festive, but it's difficult to hold a conversation.

I'm an Indian food connoisseur, so yes, I am a bit picky with the Indian joints I go to. Dhaba in New York City is one of the better ones. A little more chic than many other Indian restaurants, it's got an indie feel to it - mason jars for the drinks, cool lighting fixtures, and a general ambiance of a hip bar. The food does not disappoint - the saag paneer (a classic) was done just right, and my malai kofta was delicious. I was so full by the end that I couldn't even fit in any rice pudding, but that probably had something to do with their tasty and different rose lassi, which I highly recommend. It did take a long time for a waiter to come around for the check at the end, but the service was generally good and friendly. Dhaba is on a street filled with Indian restaurants (I counted six others within one block), but I'd recommend this over most of them.
