“Beautiful park”
Reviewed August 18, 2014 via mobile

This is a very beautiful park where many New Yorkers spend their weekends. There is a fountain where kids play during the really hot days.
There is always something happening in the park, with musicians and sometimes even people dancing.
It's worth checking out

“Loved this park”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

Visited this park twice in my 6 days in NYC. I thought this was the best small park in the city. I loved looking at the arch and the fountain. There were good street performers and musicians there. Chess players wanting to play. Even a goofy star wars lightsaber event going on. Got to pet a black and white cat sitting on a guys head. Great park.

“Don't expect another Central Park”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

This is a small park where you can just rest your weary tourist feet while you admire the outdoor chess players and the Washington Arch which I'm sure you've seen featured in a film at some time in your lives. There are usually entertainers or live music too.

“PeopleWatchTastic”
Reviewed August 13, 2014

we were here as it was a meeting place for a tour we were going on. As we were early, we spent some time just people watching and it was great. All sorts going on and definitely somewhere to chill out!

Only issue we had was that during the intro to our tour (still in the park), a local dealer came over to mingle with the tourists whilst he was dealing with a customer. I guess it makes sense to use that cover but it was a little disconcerting and others may have been a little freaked out by it!

“very pretty”
Reviewed August 12, 2014

nice break away from the concrete, however there is a homeless man that insists you do not point the camera in his direction, nor take any pictures (we were trying to snap a shot of the chess board with trees in background, he wasn't even in pic), just fyi
